They rode a 1965 BMW sidecar VT to Canada for race

Post by phughes » Tue Nov 22, 2022 2:46 pm

I saw this and really enjoyed it. Two guy rode a 1965 BMW sidecar rig from Vermont to Canada for a vintage race. Really well done and fun to watch, and man the BMW engine sounds nice.

I thought for sure I would know the guys in the vid, but I don't. There is a USCRA sticker on the hack nose and that is why I thought I would know them, or at least the old man. But apparently, they have never ridden in the Motogiro. I suspect that my friend Doug rubbed paint with the old man when he raced hacks in USCRA. I'm going to send this vid to him.

Thanks for sharing.

Maybe the frame registration is '65 but front brake, engine and such from the next generation of airheads well beyond the 40 hp maximum that the pre 1969 multi piece crank engines developed.
