Is there anyone in South Florida

Post by reyesryder » Wed Oct 13, 2021 11:22 pm

Hi everyone,

I am in South Florida so I figured that I will call Holopaw Ural and was ready to trailer the bike there. I was greeted on the phone by the mechanic who quite rudely told me that he preferred not to work on my DNEPR.

I have two new carbs and a wiring harness that I wanted him to install, adjust timing (new electronic ignition already installed) and set the valves. I guess it was too much for the mechanic.

Is there anyone in South Florida that can work on this?

Thanks in advance!!

I feel having a deja vu. viewtopic.php?f=10&t=57946

I understand a Ural mechanic refusing to work on Dnepr. Simply, Urals and Dneprs are two different beasts. I am not a Ural mechanic but I know and worked on my Urals to some extent. I would not work on Dnepr either just because there are no parts available statewide.

What year/model is your Dnepr?
Where do you buy parts for your Dnepr?

That's an amazing coincidence that two completely different members have the exact same situation, almost word-for-word.

Either it's the same guy with a new account or one of the 'bots chose last December's post as it's template for it's first (and possibly last) post.

And the "rude" comment doesn't fit for Holopaw.

Second that motion.
I visit Gene annually on slow days and have wonderful conversations.
I've camped in the back lot the year I rode down from Massachusetts.
I've spent a couple of hours with Ken on a slow day discussing fishing methods.
Bought numerous parts to keep my Sportsman (hybrid) running and Holowpaw always got me what I needed in a timely manner and at a competitive price.
What's not to like!
