Crossed the 7,000 km mark today. It’s not a significant marker really, but I feel like the bike is running well for the first time since ownership. Put 1k on in the past week, I’ve ridden it everywhere. The bike has been down for one reason or another since I got it, I’m making up for lost time and enjoying every second.

Biggest prob I had was getting a firm enough mounting that doesn't shake about. Altho the camera does a bit; I'm using a Tom Tom Bandit, which seems a wee bit heavy, cos of the battery mostly I suppose. This means that, due to how it clips on its support, it can rock slightly. I think I'm going to have to experiment with a zip tie to try to keep it still, at the mo I've been using elastic bands, they wrap around the camera and under the cip-on base. Using a pipe clamp on the forward sidecar strut was the only shake free way that worked initially, I have since splurged out on buying a MagPro magnetic base all the way from Australia, it's effing powerful (6 iridium magnets?) so stays firmly stuck to any steel panel. As in the above vid I usually have it on top of the sidecar nose just in front of the screen. The MagPro comes with a GoPro mount, to which I have added the Tom Tom to GoPro adapter.

I'm getting ready to put up a post on the usefulness of neodymium magnets for holding things to the rig once I've taken some photos. So far I've mounted a coffee cup and made a holder for my fuel tank cover and Ooga horn switch out of magnets. Nothing has fallen off yet.
