My M70 came with that style tonneau in vinyl. Way nicer than the older ones
My ct came with one as well.

There are also small elastic loops in the corners to keep the tonneau taut. The fold-over rain fly keeps rain and - more importantly - sun off. And if/when the elastic wears out it is very easily replaced.

Unfortunately, there's a guy in Irbit without a job. But IMZ improved the design, the long-term costs went down, and the tonneau is standardized.

Van, I got a dumb question. Are these springs you made ?
2 years ago Ilya asked me him couple sets of snowman springs for Sergie to test. I believe the springs are now in new ural Screenshot_20190210-080138_Video_Player.jpgmodels.
So the 2019s and possibly some '17's and 18's have aftermarket Snowman springs. Did IMZ outsource your design/idea ?
IMWA they monitor ural riders we are a small source of their ideas and upgrades. Yes

Really Cool.
Did you do any video of piloting the '19 yourself? I'd love to hear one of these baby's winding-up and winding-down at speed.

I meant while riding on the bike, your phone or camera going so to hear the engine and workings from the pilots view and ears. Not someone video'ing outboard. No big deal, I can wait till one shows up at the dealer, no problem.

You guys already did a great job of vetting for all of us on SS. Very helpful and very nice reviews. Thank-You.

The passenger in the front sidecar was a guy being interviewed for a job at IMZ. He's a videographer with web skills - and a bike rider - so we'll see what comes out. He'll have to be really good to make something useable out of footage of Van and me. It's not like he's working with Brad Pitt. :)

Final Drive gear set is from Italy

Not all Taiwan, German, Italy, Chinese parts are junk, this is a global market.
90 %? Of new ural parts are not made in Russia.
Just look at Ducati or BWM !

One thing you can sense from this video with Jason & the one with Ilya - they seemed to really get off talking to people who really understood the impact of the improvements. They tell the dealers all this stuff and have been telling them every year, but - understandably - the dealers are focused on how this affects them. How will this help me sell bikes? How will this change my service? To most prospective buyers all these changes would put them to sleep - they aren't sales "bullet points". Three-year warranty? Now that's great. How you got so you could offer one? Snooze. But to the gearheads among us....
