Re: Kauritmoto Tire Tool - first glance

 Sweet!
Hal,
Where were you paying $40 per tire? I paid $60 per tire at Dougherty's and had to bring in each tire off the bike.
Either way, I love the looks of this tool.

Re: WTB - spare tire mount

I agree with Gobium. Yuri had a few of them laying around last time I was there about a year ago. His shop is still in Bedford Hts., but he's now concentrating on the Harley crowd. Worth a try.. I can't believe he still doesn't have all the Ural/Dnepr stuff

Re: H4 Hella headlamp conversion kit?

I suggest getting a hi temp headlight socket as well. I did the Hella conversion and 6 mos. later noticed my socket was fried. Been ok since I converted to the hi temp socket I bought from the local auto parts store.

Even the GoogleMaps folks wanted a picture of my rig.

Re: I don't know where to stick this

I'm sure one or two of you might be able to tell me. :D It's not just the machine. Urals are unlike any other bike. They inspire a kind of crazy attachment, My damn dog, Mr. Winkles love the thing too. So you know how sad I was when I started hearing a knock in my engine. I rented a trailer from Ho...

Re: Spline issue on my trip

Look around SS and you will find thread after thread where soft metal could be the root cause. See my issue here: http://www.sovietsteeds.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=36312 Wouldn't it be interesting to purchase a portable rockwell or brinell hardness tester to lend to the folks on SS for these ty...
