Re: Pedal Power - Bikes, lets see them!

I’m in the middle of moving to a new place but I will try to get a pic of the entire stable when I start moving it.

Re: What did you do ON your Ural today?

Carried a small load down to the new digs today. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49138210593_2586035c49.jpg Main plan was to rebuild the carb on the snowblower the previous owners left for us while doing it for once in a heated garage. If I had time I was going to hang the TV mount for SWMBO. Fo...

Re: What did you do ON your Ural today?

Kicked it once to start it, backed it out of the garage and parked it in the yard to warm up. Rolled my 40 yo Honda out of the garage, started it with extended cranking(hasn't run since August) and let it warm up. Rode the Ural back into the garage and shut it off. Went ATGATT and rode the Honda 30 ...

Re: Getting Ready for Winter

I had to a do double take, windmill. Looking at your pics and I’m thinking “why does this guy have an old outboard on his rig?”. Then it struck me that it was a trunk. Same style on my CX.

Re: Getting Ready for Winter

Getting ready for winter today. Because studs are not legal in Illannoy that will consist of muffs over the heated grips(they go OVER the levers, moron)and warmer duds.

Re: Funny or WTF photo thread

We had a Feist who was a sweetheart with a stinker streak. She was quite small and would nap on the back of the couch. She would also lay in wait there if you were eating. Pizza was her favorite ambush. You’d be pushing a slice towards your face when there’d suddenly be a small black head trying to ...

Re: Am I too Old?

I can’t name a single ‘Urban Contemporary’ or ‘Country Pop’ artist, anymore than a young person could come up with someone such as Link Wray, Kris Kristofferson, or Dick Dale from my generation. I do recall Bob Dylan going out of his way to be a dick when he was starting out. Jim Morrison pi$$ed off...

Re: Funny or WTF photo thread

Before L L Bean went national, we stopped at the Freeport, ME store while on vacation. I picked up a supposedly chew proof training duck for our small lab. Never had the chance to throw it as she had it destroyed by the time we got back to Illannoy. The little weirdo would bust open a bag of Bic raz...

Re: Pedal Power - Bikes, lets see them!

rps20191109_164058.jpg My Trek Madone. I have ridden it 1,800 miles this season (which for me here in Maine ended Monday) and 21,904 miles since buying it in May 2011. I generally ride 20 miles every morning. I was traveling for 5 weeks this summer and Maine had lots of rain in May, which all held ...

Re: Pedal Power - Bikes, lets see them!

I think I wold move to a quiet country place with no vehicles! Not that I have not had a few crashed but nothing like that. Ouch and then some. Not that it matters but it was a quiet country road that I got smacked on. I should be grateful it was an Evo I bounced off of and not a Super Duty. 8) Fir...

I do several 300+ mile rides a year. Any local errand Saturday riding is easily over a hundred a day.

Re: You still drive a stick?

My Wrangler has a 6-speed manual that gets stirred quite a bit. I guess you could call the thing in the DeSoto a semi-auto. Has a clutch and is shifted manually between low and high range but shifts sort of automatically between the gears in each range.

Lets see..... no sidewalks...no streetlights...car sucking ditches for curbs...300ft of drive. No treaters here.

BUT-"insert drum roll here"- It was Cyndy and my 45th anniversary. :boogie:
Congrats. My Cindy and I have our 45th next Saturday.
