Re: service bullitens

Getting back on topic, I wonder if Gene or Terry have a full set of service bulletins. Since Terry is no longer selling new bikes he might not get the latest, should there be any. I wish I lived closer to one of those two guys. I'd bet they'd be willing to let someone scan them and put there out fo...

Re: service bullitens

Some folks have gained access to the bulletins somehow but most of us are in the dark.
It would be great to have a thread here that contains the bulletins already issued and those that emerge as problems or techniques are discovered.

Re: For those who use a traileer

A 6x10 utility trailer wit a wooden floor, low rails and a hefty long tailgate works well for me. Some have gotten by with 5' 6" width but with more messing around than I wanted

Re: Wrench Size Rear Wheel Hub Spline

Thanks for the quick answers. I had forgotten your video and the Owners Manual for the'15 (and the newer ones too) don't mention the replaceable spline as far as I can tell and I wasn't sure I had all the tools for a roadside wheel swap. When the dealer replaced my cracked rims on warranty, he disco...

Wrench Size Rear Wheel Hub Spline

What size wrench is needed for the six "screws" that attach the spline to the rear wheel hub? Is it part of the Ural tool kit?
Thanks

Re: GU or M70?

Personally,The Sportsman? It was basically like taking in a rescue animal (that we have 2 of) that needed a lot of love... I've heard just a few references to the former Sportsman and have a couple questions: was this full-time 2WD? If so, did it have a differential? Why was it dropped from the lin...

We only met Dean once but he struck us as a friendly, competent, no-nonsense person. The kind you can trust.
My wife and I are saddened by his passing.

Re: Throttle body parts

I've never run out of fuel (yet) but thought if/when I do I'd hook up the electric tire inflator pump I carry, to the overflow tube, and "pressurize" the tank (after adding fuel from the 10L can).
Do you suppose this would work?

Hub Studs

I have my 2015 GU at the dealer to have two cracked rims (spare/pusher) replaced under warranty. When they dismounted the pusher the found sheared or broken bolts (studs) on the "hub". They are going to repair this under warranty too. I know I've read about this problem on the forum but I've searche...

Re: Another Newby Question

Thanks for the info.
I'm disappointed that they don't rent the rig, only a seat in the tub and/or the rear saddle. I hoped to rent a Ural for a few days after flying out.

Too bad you didn't have time to ride south from Alpine to the Big Bend National Park. While I too like the Alpine-Fort Davis area the Big Bend area is something else. My son and I rode the area on our V-Strom a couple years ago and still talk about it.
Safe travels on your epic trip.

Do you know the name of the company? I may want to fly out with my grandson and tour the Rockies.
