Re: Switch for rear brake light

:boogie: hhmmmm and here I thought the lights were one of the hidden improvements IMZ made without all the fanfare. After being told to use dielectric grease on all the electrical connections on my 2007 Gear Up, and not believing it, and then having to do so to get turn signals and brake lights to w...

Re: Disheartened

If it's any source of comfort (or gallows humor) remember that back around December '13 or January '14 there was a great pi$$ing and moaning from some folks that Urals would lose all "character" and new owners would miss out on opportunities to "bond" with their bikes in the process of sorting out ...

Re: Final drive oil drip

Picked up seals and assorted gaskets today from my local (2 hour one way) dealer when I rode over to get the 1.07 EFI update. I was wondering before I begin this next chapter of Ural Maintenance, I'm wondering what everyone is doing to resolve this? From the above threads it doesn't appear to be as ...

Re: Ural T vs everything else (well, for me, at least)

I'm not so convinced on the spotlight, and what about the spare wheel? Isn't that for the sidecar only? I'd expect most punctures to occur in the drive wheel. I also don't expect to use a shovel much. - T. I had a 2007 Gear Up that I took off road a lot along forest roads etc... tightened down the ...

Re: EFI mapping....yea or nay ???

All....when did EFI mapping 1.07 come out? I took delivery of my 2014 red/white Patrol March 31st with the then current mapping and it's over 2 hour commute to the dealer but sounds like it will be worth the trip. Thanks in advance! Re: 2014 Ural dealers - the good, bad and ugly

All, Reading everyone's posts you'd think all the Urals are sold out West so here's my two cents from the East! :D I bought a 2014 red/white Patrol from Jason at MotorSportsSuperStore in Hamilton, Alabama after going back and forth and wanting to buy the rig from Bumpus Harley-Davidson in Murfreesbo...

Re: 2014 Patrol Odometer stopped at 89kms

Thanks Thumper - I was afraid of that. I notified the dealer that I was going to take out the headlight and check the connections etc, but figured it would take a long time to get a speedometer but who knows that might be something IMWA keeps on hand. Guess I need to get that process started. I appr...

2014 Patrol Odometer stopped at 89kms

Odometer quit working on my 2014 Patrol at 89kms I just picked up on March 31st but both the speedo and the trip meter work fine. I have 00139kms on the rig. I read the posts about running a ground wire from the cable entry into the speedo and will try that tomorrow after work but wanted to see if a...
