Re: I have yet another hobby.

Well for anyone interested, I am registered with the FAA and I'm certified by the North Carolina Department of Transportation Aviation Division. I know and follow all of the rules. Like in any group, there will be idiots, but most are responsible. I belong to a Phantom Pilots forum and the sentiment...

I have yet another hobby.

My wife laughs at me because I have so many hobbies. Well, I recently found another one and I love it. I bought a quad copter. Some people refer to it as a drone, but that word has a bad connotation and people freak out if I use it. Anyway, this thing is so much fun and amazingly simple to fly. The ...

Re: "You must have lot of time"

Reason for tittle. No secret I like to fabricating and posting . I much have about .5 dozen comments " you have to much time on your hands," or similar to that nature. That is a dumb saying. Why? Just think about it. Examples I like to watch soccer. Wife said "you have too much time on your hand" O...

Re: Oil leaking at rear end of motorcycle

Congrats on your new Ural and welcome to SS. Your Ural will get better and better as you put on miles. She will feel real nice after 7,500 km's.
You may want to put you location and bike info in you signature. If your are near another member you can meet up to ride or share maintenance practices.

Re: A Very Sick Babe

Darrell, I really appreciate you taking the time to record this procedure. I would have no clue on how to approach this type of repair and would never even consider attempting it, but after watching your video I'd go for it. I still have a way to go before I hit 25,000 km's but as I approach I'll be...

Re: A Very Sick Babe

Ouch! Sorry to hear that Darrell. I wish I knew more so I could be of help, but unfortunately I don't have a clue. You're always a big help to others do I'm sure you'll get some good advice. Hopefully it sounds worse than what it is. Good luck.

Re: "single MOVABLE pulley", clutch cable modification

Nicely done Van. You always amaze. Regarding the reversed clutch lever, I used to ride with a buddy back in the 70's who was born with his left arm only half length (like up to the elbow) and it had a tiny hand on the end. He reversed his clutch like you showed and would push it. He rode very well l...

Re: Tire Changing Stand... best?

I found Ruglide to be very helpful. Napa Auto Parts. It's slippery when wet, but sticky when dry. Helps getting the tire on, but when it dries it prevents the tire from slipping.

Re: Low fuel light doesn't work

Does it have a part number? I'm wondering if it is worth replacing all of the bulbs with LED.
