Re: Drone fun

Thanks guys. Yes, I fly a DJI Phantom 4. I bought it about a year ago. They have since come out with the P4 Plus that has a few minor improvements but if I were buying today I'd still go with the P4 since the price has dropped. Right now the P4 has every feature that I need. It's still one of the mo...

Drone fun

I recently retired after 44+ years at the same company. But I don't like sitting around, so I started a Drone business as a side job. It took a bit of work because using a drone for commercial purposes requires a pilot's license so I took a course and got tested at an FAA site. Passed with a 95 but ...

my cold weather project

Since I moved from NY to NC I've become wimpy when it comes to cold weather. Maybe it's because I'm getting older too. Over the last few months I worked on another hobby to keep me busy when it's chilly. I'm building this model ship. It's a 1775 French Frigate called Sirene. I may have to put ...

Re: Reliability "Issues" (?)

Also the nature of the machine is adventure. Riders enjoy riding through the mud, over rocks, through streams, in the desert, in the snow, up steep hills and on dirt roads. Then some say "gee, this thing just doesn't hold up". What other vehicle gets that abuse? Yes, there are some inherent issues a...

Re: Speedometer stopped working / 2016 gear up

Also make sure the cable is working, sounds like it was binding, and might have broken, this often happens if bends are too tight so I would look at the cable routing with a view to checking and reducing the radius of bends. HTH If I remember right there was an issue on the 2014s with the cable get...

Re: 2014 rear break bleed

I've had success with a cheap kit from harbor freight. It was just a small plastic bottle, some tubing and a magnet to hold the bottle to the frame. You need 3 arms though. I guess that's were the PITA part comes in. Connect the tube to bottle and the bleed valve. Sequence is: Press brake Open valve...

Nice mod Darrell. You never cease to amaze. I like the fact that it's all verticle too. Agh, now I have another thing to check. You're keeping me busy. :D
Always appreciate your good ideas. Thanks.

Re: Connected to ECU's and Balanced Throttle Bodies!!!!!!!

Just reading through all of this, I wonder if IMZ will start selling a kit with cable and software now. Not sure why they didn't to begin with, but if it was to protect dealers that's pretty much out the window now. Only missing link is map creation and loading. Either way, this is a great idea and ...

Re: That's it, I've had it...

I'm retiring in February. I'll be 65 and worked 44 years at the same company. I know I can't sit still so I started a drone service company. Aerial photos and video. I have plenty of hobbies but enjoy working.

Re: Real World EFI Fuel Economy

Yes. There are four screws with nuts that hold the gasket onto the fairing.
(Sorry, I tried to post a photo but they're too large)
