a couple of questions

about ready to drop my cash for the pipes. they look goo and think they will look outstanding on the Raven. However, my bike is running good and I don't want to mess up a good thing. If I go with the new pipes (straight to the j tubes and minus the catylitic converters) I guess I will need to rejet....

Got a friend of mine with a 02 Ural. The alternator went and blew up his engine. He is talking about doing a BMW conversion. Perhaps this is a better option. I am also interested. Could you pop me a e-mail at WEGUNTER@YAHOO.COM

What a great looking bike

Excuse the ignorance but what size is the R90 engine and how many miles does it have on the dial?

Finally decided

Ok: So I got this Raven sitting in my garage (er....I mean black patrol) and I have been racking my head trying to think of a name for her. She is a her. I know it. So anyways, everybody seems to have grabbed all of the good names and I don't want to duplicate. Need something female. Need something ...

I too like all things Russian, but a hammer and sickle for me is going a bit too far. I also fear catching a sudden case of lead poisoning going through the gate at Ft. Bragg. Since my bike is black, I had a decal made of a skull and cross bones. The words above the skull say "Live Free or Die" and ...

Back in the pool

Ah too bad I didn't knowyou were there. Murphy is a pretty neat (but expensive) place. It has access to everything I need-trails, water and fish. Guess I need to get more comfortable on the Ural before i tackle hills like those. Had nightmares of chugging up those hills with a line of Billy Bobs cra...

Back in the net

OK..... I'm back on the road and on the net. Went on a 10 day vacation up to the Smokey Mountains (near Murphy NC) for some obligatory family activity. Went hiking on the local trails, whitewater rafting and lot's of fishing. With two kids, two dogs, a wife and lot's of baggage the Nissan Exterra wa...

California emissions

HI Bill Gunter here from Pinehurst NC. The Raven is funning fine with 4000 km on the dial. Ordered a deep sump and some Duros from Wagners and they arrived in 3 days flat. Good service. No problems with the bike and I have pretty much left it alone except for regular maintenance. I have all the bell...

I am interested too

Do you notice a power difference with the new mufflers? I am interested too but I would want the header pipes too. What was the total cost?
