Re: 2016 White Retro

The M70 and the Retro are identical except that the M70s only are painted OD Green and the Retros have the tank mounted reverse shifter and are available in multiple colors.

I think I have an old one in the garage. Let me check. If I do, it's yours.

Re: Front Tire on 2014 GU

Pushers usually wear out asymmetrically because of the road crown, might affect steering.

I usually move pusher to sidecar and then run it til it is bald.

Re: 1945 Ural Tourist for sale

Is the photo reversed, or is the drive shaft on the left-hand side of this bike. Whether it is or not, that transmission and final drive don't look like any IMZ or KMZ setup I've ever seen. Pretty cool lookin' bike either way.

Post a link Van so we can see all the photos please.

I'd like to see it go, and not be replaced by anything. I log on to SS for Ural information, not politics, guns, or anything else. If people want to discuss things that have nothing to do with motorbikes, let them PM each other or log on to a web site catering to those things. Cheers, Dan K. While ...

Re: BMW valve covers on a gear-up

Dan, I have to admit to rather liking the look myself. Are the gaskets "hand cut-able", or did you order spares? Any other hassles? On my '06 Ural engine I do not recall that the two "wing" fasteners are present (I've only had the covers off once). On my R75/5 there are two 6mm studs that secure th...

Re: BMW valve covers on a gear-up

Just my $.02US... not sure why you'd want to induce the possibility of leaks and hassle by have four valve covers (which is what the above is) and no readily available replacement gaskets (unless you are willing to cut your own). A valid point. I learned with my set that it was best to use Permatex...
