William,

Not sure if you're a member of this site or not. I got your phone message, but your telephone number was garbled. Please give me another call.

Re: 2003 Patrol for sale - 37,xxx Kms $4,500

Hey Spat,

Yeah, got to thin things out to make room for new ones! Since I picked up the F650gs last year, the lonely K75 has been sitting in the garage. I only took her out on a half-dozen runs all year. I'm really lovin' that enduro ridin' on the F650.

Re: 2003 Patrol for sale

How does it like snow? Cold weather starting? (I just found out it is probly located in Colorado). Serviced locally? It would be interesting to hear about the travels on it. Did you take any trips on it, like your mountain pictorial trip? (just read your blog-mine towns - passes ect...) Well, she h...

*** SOLD*** 2003 Patrol for sale - 37,xxx Kms $4,500

I do have a few extras on the bike, so please take a look at my full posting for all the details. Greetings All, I've decided to put my 2003 Patrol up for sale in order to use the proceeds towards another Ural. CraigsList has so far only produced lookie-loo's, so I thought I'd cast a wider net and p...

Re: Sipapu, NM aka: It's not the destination

Hey Spat,

Thanks for the write-up. I missed Sipapu this year. I regret not finding a way to make the time. What a great venue and group.

Re: Seeking Retro Solo advice from other Retro Solo owners

Thanks everyone. I guess there are fewer than I imagined out there. Someone on another site told me that IMWA did not import any Retro Solo's in 2006. Anyone know about that?

Cheers,

Re: Long Way Round

If you enjoyed the Long Way Round and Down, check out Charlie Boorman's "By any Means" series and his "Race to Dakar" series. The first "By any Means" was from Ireland to Sydney using all manner of indigenous transportation (Including Urals in Georgia) and the second series was Sydney to Tokyo. Moto...

Seeking Retro Solo advice from other Retro Solo owners

Thinking about picking up a 2006 Retro Solo. I've had my Patrol since 2003, so I know about the standard Ural foibles. I'm wondering if the Retro Solo has any particular "problems" I should look out for. I might pick up an '06, but it is in another state, so I won't have the ability to peruse it fir...

Not DOT, but who looks? Harder than normal rubber to hold ice screws securely.
Thanks for the info Windmill & Thunderstruck.
