...The plugs have been black every time I pulled them. I want to say I'm running rich but the 125 jets make me wonder..... You are definitely running rich with that plug condition. Have you tried increasing the amount of air coming into the fuel mix? Is the fuel/air mix screw set at 1-1/2 turns out...

Re: High Octane - Did not like that!!

Used to run 91/0 ethanol, but after talking to experienced moto/hot rod gear heads, switched back to 87/10. The URAL's 8.5:1 compression ratio can't utilize the extra octane resulting in carbonization and "rich" fuel/air symptoms. I also read somewhere here that Euro 91 octane is actually US 87 or 8...

Finally watched the video. Interesting speed shifting with no audible clashing of gears. Fascinating.

Re: 0-60 and Top Speed

I am willing to bet that this topic title has NEVER been seen before in this, or any, URAL forum.

I am guessing about 8-12 seconds gets added to the 0-60 by doing the "Ural Shift": Clutch-2-3-shift.

Good info, tho'. Thanks for that.

If you want the Metric equivalent to SAE Grade 8 hardened bolts, you need to get 10.9. regards, Rob Also for the record, respectfully, 8.8 metric and Grade 5 SAE are hardened bolts, just "n...

Looking at the pic showing the dampner from the front right of the rig: Did you modify the exhaust crossover to be removable??

What how does the failure rate on the old, friction fit, center column dampners compare to the new-fangled hydraulic ones? :sarcasm:
Sorry. :)
