Re: FD failure ...Calling Gobium to the white cour.....

That sucks! I had to check to be sure, but it was 2011 when they changed the FD ring gear bolts. For those with bikes earlier than 2011....replace those ring gear bolts!! 2011 New paint options, including more powder coat colors Aluminum rims on all models, including the sT Duro tires standard on al...

Re: Richard Winters converted 2006 patrol

Extra power is great, yes, but as Richard and others will tell you, ride a converted Ural (mated with Ural tranny and FD), you better ride it like it was still a Ural or you will go through Final Drives.

Re: Richard Winters converted 2006 patrol

.....Again there's nothing wrong with the original ural engines if you don't mind going no faster than 50 and are up for potential problems along the way you can practically get airhead BMW parts on every corner in every town of every state. That breeds a lot of confidence into a platform that is e...

Re: Aluminum Rim Replacement

There was a recall on a particular year/month alloy wheel from IMWA (April 2009?), IIRC. I have one on my front but haven't had any cracks and dreaded having to deal with Ural Canada at the time.

Valve cover stud and nut

Curious if anyone has a source for a valve cover stud and nut? Finally getting around to fixing my bike after I endo'ed it and the stud is bent. The stud has m8x1.25 course threads that go into the head and m8x1.25 threads that hold the cover on. Easier to replace then fix. Any help is appreciated. ...

Re: Ural takes a lickin.....

Thx guys.

Was steering around a culvert and the hack wheel dropped into a ditch. Pulled me right in and the hack wheel hit a rock or stump and stopped short.

Ural takes a lickin.....

Went for a ride a couple weeks ago with a new Ural owner in my neck of the woods. Three Urals and a bunch of 2 wheelers. I haven't ridden the Ural much since I got the Triumph, and I was doing CC a favour since he could not ride his Beemer. Got carelous on the trail and I got bit...two CT scans late...

Re: Trailer?

The issue with the trailer is the width. Do a search here as there are many posts on the subject. It comes down to side walls/rails of the trailer. If they are too high, a 5' wide trailer won't work. You could lay a plank down to lift the bike up somewhat to clear the side wall/rail, but again depen...

Re: Troubleshooting no ignition..

Why did you change the carbs???? I have known two people that switched to those slide carbs.....and they switched back. Nuff said. The Keihins work fine.

If you are not getting a spark, your Hall Sensor is probably shot...or the wiring is damaged.
