I wonder what color Ural would paint their line of snow blowers. What shade of paint is most frequently seen on our outfits? One possibility is Burgundy Satin, as it's been available since model year 2018.
Humorous to consider.

Two red flags, personally. Others may proceed as they see fit.

Re: What are/is your Winter Project(s)?
Just for any UK readers reading this, MOT rules were updated 11 January 2021, HID or LED 'bulb' in a headlamp designed for a filament bulb (e.g., H4, HS1 etc.), aka 'a HID/LED conversion', will be an MOT fail. :D I'm inclined to agree with your Ministry of Transport here, Mike. We've our fair share...

Re: Battery makes
Thanks for the intel.
Give me a dry cell every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
I had to recurringly babysit two wet cell 12V batteries that were purchased new and had easy lives. No more of that.

Re: Choosing routes for Urals
How do you all choose routes for your rigs? I have a 2011 so it's top recommended speed is 60. I have no intention of taking it on the interstate; I like the old rural highway top speed of 55 experience so I can see the scenery. I knew in advance of buying my 2018 GU that it would be ridden most fr...

Re: Soviet Steeds on MeWe
Mm. I followed the Soviet Steeds Facebook group for a while, and gave up. More than a few posts start off in an innocuous manner, but then the comments devolve into a feces show of he-said/he-said. The wheat gets hopelessly lost in the chaff. If MeWe is simply another flavor of the same product, no ...

Re: 2018 GearUp dies while on the road
I've been having this recurring issue where I'm riding and suddenly my instrument panel LED window flashes red and my bike sputters and dies out. I've been wondering if my battery is taking a charge of if I need a new one. Has anyone out there had a similar experience? As an FYI: The ignition switc...

I was going to suggest that it's odd to see a Ural leaned over like a MotoGP bike.

Re: Any FART rally for 2021?
Just my zwei pfennig : It's too soon to know if 2021 will look at 2020 and say "Hold my beer." Certainly I'm optimistic, and do hope, for example, that the superlative BGR put on by Lokiboy can occur this year. Having had to argue for reservation refunds and pay several cancellation fees as the real...

Re: What are/is your Winter Project(s)?
There aren't any. I want everything ready to go in/during the Winter, and I've been pretty good about it. The Suzuki is put to bed, but can be easily brought online if the rare 60/70 degree day makes an appearance (as it did a couple years ago.) The Ural is always maintained in Ready Reserve conditi...
