Re: Li Ion Jump Starter Puzzlement

Was the jump pack cold? Lithium batteries like to be "warmed up" by discharging some before they will deliver full output. Connect, discharge for a bit, wait, and then try jump starting. Confirmed. That's why I won't replace the reliable AGM batteries in my motorcycles with their lithium equivalent...

Re: Li Ion Jump Starter Puzzlement

Fellow Antigravity owner here. Lithium jump packs can indeed be connected to a designated 12VDC connection point, or to the positive battery post. In either circumstance, and after the negative clamp is also properly connected, the diagnostic device on the other end of the Smart Clamp cable will per...

Maybe if I hire a Hooters gal to remove the trunk items it may offer more social redeeming value?
We're in, so long as you hire the correct Hooters employees. ;)

Re: Valentine's Day scammers...

The precious stones might have been less costly to purchase, Lew. ;)

Just this morning, I was perusing my modest inventory of "jewelry", and mentally calculating the difference between my cost basis and the current market value. It was...significant.

Re: Spares are good!

Does anyone use an universal cable repair kit? I picked one of these up a while back. I carry it in my roadside assistance kit. Rather than purchasing all needed cables for both bikes I figured this would be a good "get out of jail" card. It's not a long term solution but it should get you home. ht...

Re: Buying a Ural

I have wanted a Ural since my introduction 3 yrs ago. I am hoping for a mildly used one. My wife has some interest in driving it. She can operate every piece of equipment we at the farm. It would be nice for her to have her own "bike". I have owned several 2 wheel bikes and still have my Kawasaki 1...

Re: Motorcycle Only Parking

Anyone else lucky enough to have motorcycle only parking at work? I had it, in several forms. The Dept. of General Services, a State-level authority, eventually painted lines and claimed oversight authority for the large and arguably out-of-the-way patch of city sidewalk on which motorcycles had be...

Re: 2014 Ram Promaster 1500 travel van for sale

Mods - Have the forum rules been modified so that non-motorcycle related listings are now allowed in the Black Market? If so, I too have some goods that I wouldn't mind posting here. Mods. If I am in violation, please delete the post. This rig has spent more time at Ural Rallies than many of the me...
