Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

The master cylinder would pump a little fluid at the end of each stroke, but the pedal never firmed up, so I guess I'll undo the brake line retaining clips and clamps so I can hang the caliper up high overnight to allow gravity help me remove the presumed air bubble. Er, not wanting to sound like I...

Re: Alignment tips for constant 50-55mph

Appendix: S-P-L-A-S-H Watched the whole viddy, I've only just fallen in as to why a toe-in change affects lean-out and vice-versa. It's because when you change toe-in (for example), at least one of the strut lengths also has to be changed, or, as he says, if both the top eye bolts are taken out, the...

Re: Alignment tips for constant 50-55mph

Here a recent YouTube movie straight from Ural to ponder while at anchor. https://youtu.be/7VVdtAEzNVc The video does a pretty good job of explaining theory and the mechanics. He skirts the issue of how to fine tune it and really that's just ride and adjust. "Quite frankly you are not going to dial...

Interesting, I got a cramp buster, but not yet needed it. I'm not a "beef cake" either. I think a lot depends on your gloves, how "sticky" the palms are.

Realised a long-standing ambition today – drove it through the cemetery. Twice! http://livinginthepast-audioweb.co.uk/imagex/misc/hyper.gif On the way into (and returning from) town to go to the bank and get bread. Brunch at Langrick cafe then went up Witham Bank again (see last video), this time al...

...and after you do all that the wind is gonna shift... or the grade will increase... or yer gonna put the hack windshield up... or the crown of the road will change... or your pusher will wear down... My point is: our rigs are more susceptible than most vehicles to changes in their environment... ...

I sprang for the new-style crankcase breather to be installed in the oil-blowin' Mobile Chernobyl and a new-style transmission filler cap with dipstick for the same bike. 2020-07-31 17.39.30.jpg I don't know about this dipstick; I always catch the best transmission swarf with the magnetic filler ca...

Re: So i bought a Ural.
