Re: Deep seated noise in tappets (?)

Great news on the fix - kudos to you for tenacity!!! It was the tongue. Never would have fixed it without that trick. Glad it was simple. Many, many, years ago I went to take a look at a VW that was advertised with "possible engine trouble." A buddy and took a look at this bug that was making a clan...

Re: What did you do ON your Ural today?

Got a chance to enjoy 70 degree weather in St. Louis 2 days ago - had to get my youngest out to let her get a ride in....and to settle my need for one as well.....now it's back to winter....

Welcome to the nuthouse....St. Louis area here...check out the dealer in Edwardsville, IL and in Pacific, MO. Both good places if you're not wanting to go over to the Chicagoland area. Also a few places in IA and a place in Lincoln, NE. Try Terry Crawford (MI) - and Heindl (SE OH) are VERY strong su...

Re: Stripped Final Drive Bolt

The only time I used Heli Coils was for stripped threads for spark plug holes for VW engines - never had any issues (used two separate times). When it came time for my FD that I screwed up, I just had the case replaced - wasn't sure if I had cracked the case or not, and I wasn't going to perform a d...

Re: Sean's R3W Steering Damper kits ready to ship

Mr. Waz, My bike is the same as yours with the exception of the sidecar residing on the opposite side. Same set up (even have a Lycette seat ready to install) - I must agree with those that comment on the upgrade in ride quality - there is a marked improvement that will surprise you on the first run...

Re: What Year?

Had a guy compliment my cT and ask me if I wanted to join an antique motorcycle club this evening - that is until I told him that my bike's a 2016.....he got a sheepish look on his face and said "nevermind" and walked away.
