I missed this thread, I’d be interested. I have plenty of time now.

I wouldn’t mind trying that out. My son’s always looking for something to print.

Re: Muzzleloaders, need some advice: .32 caplock or .45 flinter rifle?

What powder are you using in the .36? This can make a lot of difference. The lube you use can also be a problem. I can shoot 6 stages without cleaning the gun. Triple Seven and Bore Butter. What should I be using? 3F is fine pistol powder. I’m not a huge fan of bore butter, although I have used it....

Re: Muzzleloaders, need some advice: .32 caplock or .45 flinter rifle?

Best bang for buck for getting into BP is the Pedersoli models sold through Cabela’s. Semi-custom quality. I’d stay away from CVA and Traditions is better than CVA but less than Pedersoli. BP kits range from minimal work needed to you having to practically cut the tree down for the stock and forge ...

Re: Muzzleloaders, need some advice: .32 caplock or .45 flinter rifle?

I can’t help you with your question, but maybe you’d be willing to help with mine. I currently have a .36 BP pistol. The timing on it sucks and it gums up after the second cylinder’s worth of firing, but I find it extremely entertaining to shoot. I’ve been thinking about a flintlock rifle, but can’t...

Gotta love Judge Benitez. Hopefully this will last longer than magazine freedom week. If I lived there, I’d be buying ammo like crazy right now. Too bad there’s a nationwide shortage and the price has gone up.

Re: Hack safety items?

IMHO, you’d be better off investing in kid-sized riding gear...helmet, jacket with pads, riding pants, gloves and boots. Also, work on your riding skills and defensive driving awareness. This isn’t a judgement on you, we all need to work on these, all the time.

Re: What's everyone doing to pass the time in isolation?

I’ve finished every project around the house that doesn’t require large amounts of money. I was scraping the bottom so bad today that I resorted to sharpening drill bits. Last week, all yard tools were maintained, including sharpening all the chainsaw chains and both lawnmower blades. Tomorrow, my y...

Re: Homemade face mask for Foilheads

I had to make a grocery store trip this morning. Ohio seems to be on the back side of the peak, so I’m preparing for several weeks of lockdown. Anyway, I saw several folks wearing disposable gloves in the store. No face masks or any other ppe, just the gloves. While getting back in my truck, I watch...

Re: Gun Safety - Sig P938 (Moved)

^^^^What he said, I would carry it cocked and locked, it’s how I carry my Kimber. That’s what I would do, but I can’t say what you should do. Over the years, I’ve tried many different carry positions, holsters and types of pistols. It took a whole box full of holsters to figure out what I liked and ...

Nice find, I’m adding that to my tool box. For critical repairs though, I’ve had a lot of success with these high quality thread inserts: http://www.timesert.com/html/mtrcsert.html
