Re: Rt cylinder damage

I normally make it a habit to not disagree with Terry, but this isn’t from something being ingested into this cylinder. I’ve developed good work practices from years of being an A&P/IA that prevent me from being sloppy enough to leave hardware in dangerous places. Plus, it’s been several thousand mi...

Re: Rt cylinder damage

Here’s a great tip when you go to reinstall the rings. https://www.sovietsteeds.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=53830 This thread shows the ring orientation. Now, others firmly disagree with the positioning, but for...

Re: Rt cylinder damage

I got the car out of the way, it was easy, but thanks for the tip.

This isn’t great.

Rt cylinder damage

Riding down a country road yesterday on my ‘16 GearUp with 8600 km. Right side started knocking really bad, so I slowed, turned around and limped home about 3 miles. Took the spark plug out and peered in the hole, saw something strange. Pulled the exhaust pipes and found this caught by the cat scree...

Re: Under nose rack storage

This is a great idea. I built my own front tub rack, but tomorrow I’ll replace the bolts with eye bolts.

I just have aluminum furnace tape over mine. The rubber plug was lost long ago.

Re: Pad for dogs

In my experience, with a big dog you need to remove the seat, then put something down on the floor that they can grip. Probably anything will work, from old carpet to an exercise mat cut to size. I put a harness on my Great Dane and use that to strap her to the trunk rack. She’s very well trained, b...

Interesting. Don’t need any tires for a while, but I saved it to my wish list. Thanks.

I just do all three every 3000 miles. I’m too lazy to track it any other way.

Re: Broke out old warhorse for the Fourth: 92FS

Another CZ fan here, I have a 75 SP-01, Shadow2, with many mods and a P10c that I train with. I love those guns. Funny story, the last 92FS I shot was a rental at an indoor range in Miami, FL. If you shook your hand while holding it, it rattled...not just a little. I’m not sure how many tens-of-thou...
