Re: What did you do ON your Ural today?

First ride in ten days yesterday. Just got out because I needed to. Did a fifty five mile loop on local roads I hadn’t been on before. Started doing the wave to all the bicyclists I came across and got waves back. Also got plenty of waves from folks in the little towns I rode through. More than I us...

Re: Ural - Bursitus

Hip problem on the Ural, no. Hip problem on the CX, youbetcha. That’s why the old girl barely gets a tank of gas a year through her.
Only thing I really have a pain issue with on the Ural is my right ankle. Feels like a tendon bitching.

Re: What did you do ON your Ural today?

Threw all the gas cans in the tub for the spring fill up. At the old place, 5 gallons for the JD would see me through to mid June. I don’t think 10 gallons at the new place will last nearly that long.

Re: C-19 and the Ural Community (Corrected Title)

As I am a remote employee for my outfit, it looks like I’m going to be paid to ride my Ural for the next couple of weeks. All of our customers have started blocking vendor visits. I can only get on site if invited AND if I pass a Covid-19 test, which I can’t seem to get anyway. As I told my boss whe...

thanks for the 'Come On, Eileen' reference.
If you need a different earworm, think 'My Corona' to the tune of 'My Sharonna' (by The Knack).
Bastard. :D At least I like The Knack.

Most recent was visiting a local forest preserve last month. Paved road through it was frozen, thawed, and frozen again slush. Couldn’t get up the hills in 1wd, 2wd was the catsass.

Re: What did you do ON your Ural today?

w@$#ed off the winter this morning. As it was very warm for the 8th of March in NE IL, Mrs. C and I went for a 72 mile ride in Kane and Dekalb counties. There are a lot of gravel farm roads in the area and we didn’t avoid them. We experienced gravel kicked up at us for the first time. We both got wh...

Re: Getting senile & K&N air filter

To return to the senility part of the post, I started doing the oil changes on my wife’s’ Audi after the dealer jacked the price from $85 to $150. This was about the fourth time I’d done it, so I wasn’t a noob at it. My wife was yakking at me about flooring, or kitchen cabinets, or something else th...

Re: A clean garage is sign of a messy mind.

Got a couple bicycle hangers from HF. Can actually walk through the garage now when the wife's van is in there. Why she can't park outside is a mystery. Just one of many and I hope you are not just finding that out! Now that I have the new place with both ‘His & Hers’ garages, SWMBO can park her ca...
