I haven’t been in the new one long enough to mess it up.

Re: First Out of Fuel Experience.

I know that I get exactly 129.4 miles to a tank. Which. coincidentally, is four miles short of the nearest gas station.

Re: What did you do ON your Ural today?

Still scoping out the new locale. Today, I rode into town to check out the local coffee shop/bakery. I didn’t need anymore coffee so I grabbed a couple cinnamon scones for the missus and me. Then rode home.

Weekend looks interesting with a winter storm warning.

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

Swapped batteries. No one was kidding that it’s a pain in the a$$ job, but it is done. I will say, though, it damn nice working in a heated garage.

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

Rode it back to its new parking spot today after having it parked at its old place for a couple of days. It’s behind the CX. Also bought a new battery.

Re: Project fodder

How many of you see an engine like this and think "Hey! I could mount that in my old Royal Enfield!" More I look it, the more do-able it looks. https://www.ebay.com/itm/411cc-10HP-Diesel-Engine-4-Stroke-Single-Cylinder-72-2mm-Shaft-Length/264181672070?_trkparms=aid%3D555018%26algo%3DPL.SIM%26ao%3D1...

Re: Project fodder

I’ve been pondering a diesel bike project for awhile. I have an electric start Lambordini LD 315 diesel but life keeps getting in the way.

Re: What did you do ON your Ural today?

We are officially moved into our new place so I rode into town to scope out the local breakfast place. Got some UDF along with a great breakfast. Also, phone battery crapped out, so no pics.

Re: Teaching my girls

Good on ya. Both my girls helped out when they were young. Somewhere in all the photos I've taken in the last 50 plus years, there is one of my oldest daughter sitting on the fender of her first car, a 54 Nash Rambler, swapping out the plugs. There is another of my youngest truing a bicycle wheel. I...

Re: How many ride all year round? (Particularly in snowy climates)

Heading out tomorrow for what may be my last ride until holidays. (Damn gainful employment) Hauling a load in the tub to the new place then parking it in its new heated garage. Looking like a fairly pleasant day for NE Illannoy. Sunny, light winds, maybe 39. Still, full length lined oil skin drover ...

Re: Snow Blowers

For the last forty years, I’ve used the Toro Snow Thrower ilk. Ok in dry snow, barely. Absolutely worthless in the typical heavy wet crap we get here. The PO of our new place left behind an el cheapo MTD 24” Yardman. Doesn’t look like it had ever been used but the fuel system was so crudded up I cou...

I’m in the middle of moving to a new place but I will try to get a pic of the entire stable when I start moving it.
