Re: Stumper clutch issue

Fixed it! I put a shorter clutch rod in and everything is working and feels great. I don’t know why that fixed it but right now I’m just happy it’s working.

And don’t worry everyone. The square peg is in the square hole

Re: Stumper clutch issue

I have verified my clutch rod length is correct. 5 and 9/10 inches by micrometer. Anyone feel like posting a few pictures of different clutch plungers sticking out of the back of the transmission to compare?

Re: Stumper clutch issue

I don’t know the part number for both cables but they were the exact same cables when comparing them a couple months ago. Routing has made zero difference. It was routed appropriately to begin with and any variations have caused no change. I also agree that something mechanical happened but I can’t ...

Re: Should sidecar wheel be vertical?

Supposed to be vertical but there is an issue with sidecar swingarm bushings collapsing and causing a sidecar wheel to lean while everything else is in correct alignment

Stumper clutch issue

I’m back again with another breakdown adventure. Last weekend my clutch cable broke at the lever end during a relaxing shift to 2nd. I turned the bike off and coasted off to the side of the road which fortunately happened to be motorcycle only parking at the vintage bike show I was attending. So of ...

Good luck with whatever you decide. Sometimes we must make tough decisions!
If all goes well I won’t have to make those decisions and I can continue on my path.

Cota is staying with you though - right?!? ;)
Well since I’m losing the sidecar rig and can’t afford another one *cough cough bmw/goldwing base* she can’t really go with so she can be included as long as the bike and her are going to the right home

Re: Alternator Gasket

Is adjusting your alternator something you need to do from time to time or something? I actually just had to have my alt seal replaced because it was leaking oil. One of the last repairs under warranty... :gahhh:
