Re: Question about 2015 FI

Re: How are the flat Paint colors holding up?

That's a bummer about the gas tank. Was there w@* or protective coating on the paint? Anyone else seen staining like that? That's the kind of think I am worried about. It's pretty much impossible to keep fuel from spilling on the tank eventually. My 2015 black gloss still looks new. I do a quick w@*...

How are the flat Paint colors holding up?

I am looking at a 2019 Flat Black Outfit and I plan to use it in the winter in snow and salt. I know the old powder coatings were bad. This rig has the new painted finish. Does anyone have experience with how these New painted flat finishes are holding up , especially with salt, etc.

thanks!

Keeping sidecar trunk and passenger compartment Dry

I don't typically ride in the pouring rain. One day I was trailing the outfit 2 hours on the pouring rain and the entire tub was soaked including the trunk. Is this typical when riding? What do people do on extended trips to keep cargo dry?

Re: Slow starter turn over, won't start, help

Well it was a bad battery. Voltage was only 11.6 and my battery load tester didnt even read into the good part of the scale. Replaced it and fired right up. This is the second time I have played with the battery. First time was to install my grip heaters. I had almost forgotten just how friggin cram...

Slow starter turn over, won't start, help

So, havnt ridden the outfit in a month and went to start her up and she responded like a dead battery. It is 30 degrees here, not that it matters. The usual electronic buzzing sounds that happen when I turn the key on sound very weak, again like anew almost dead battery. Headlight looks pretty bright...

Yup, they are funny, but also awful and some are educational at the same time. There are are few things one can learn about proper weight distribution, alcohol consumption, and handling at the limit from these videos.

Re: Tires loosing air

http://sovietsteeds.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=45417 Thanks for the link, I didn't find it when I searched prior to writing this thread. This is a sad state of affairs. I can't believe that this issue appears to possibly be so wide spread and so little discussed. Filling tires once a week is a ...

Any reason for the losses? No other vehicle I have ever owned has done this at this level? Is it inferior tubes?

Tires loosing air

I noticed that alll 3 of my tires had lost a lot of air over a couple of months or so. I was Suprized to see they were at 10 or 15 pounds each. I really don't recall the last time I checked them. It could have been no more than 90 days, but I could be wrong it could have been more like 6 months, but...
