Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

The advantage of the rear bumper from Heindle is that it was designed to work with the first aid box and spare tire. In spite of the bumper being mounted to the sheetmetal, it does a very good job of protecting the first aid box, I've had one on my Gear Up for a long time and I' can vouch for its e...

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

are you content with the robustness [of the mounting of] the rear bumper on your cT? There are many different styles of rear bumper. I picked up this version from Heindl Engineering. As you can see, it's only held in place by two bolts. As a sheet metal guard, it's perfectly fine. It almost held my...

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

Mark , I think you need to up your fuse amperages a bit. Check out this thread. I asked what the proper protection was for each circuit and Rob took some measurements for me. https://sovietsteeds.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=52964 What size ammo can did you score from pops-in-law? Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

Did you push the bulbs far enough in the sockets to make contact? Did you rotate the LED's to ensure you got the polarity correct? Did you use a multimeter to check electrical continuity in the fuses, or simply do a visual check? My 2001 has an additional fuse in the headlight area outside of the f...

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

An electrical question. I took off the headlamp and the bucket to replace my dash idiot lights with LED's. Pulled all the connectors carefully, marked which tab went to blue and put in the new LED's. Plugged the headlamp back in and turned the key and no idiot lights. The amber, which I did not swap...

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

Well, poop. I got exactly two prints out, attempting to scale your image to the speedometer face. The first print was ridiculously huge, but the second print was pretty close. Unfortunately, I ran out of yellow on the second print and black, attempting a third print. SO, I guess I'll pick up some i...

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

We've got some that is made for laser printers. We used to produce our own line of rubber stamps mounted on oak blocks and printed our own labels on the clear adhesive material. Colors held up well, but we could not print white as expected.

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

I might even have some clear adhesive substrate around the office, try it through a laser printer and see how well it looks after adhering it to some plexi-glass.

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

If you have a spare speedo torn apart, let me know what you think the speedo face is made of. I have one coming in but you're faster than the USPS by far.
