Re: Official 2nd Generation Keihin EFI retrofit kit

Barry, I can't see your images.

I might very well be tempted into forking over the $2k when the retrofit for earlier bikes becomes available.
Same here. I've got the 'Chernobyl set up how I like, except for fuelling.

Re: Progress Report: Resurrecting a '99 Tourist -- Questions?

I've got a 1999 Tourist and a 2001 Patrol, and a detailed running thread that I've used to document my Journey of Discovery, with regard to late-model 650 Urals. It might offer a few insights for you.

Re: Official 2nd Generation Keihin EFI retrofit kit

I'll have the only 2020 M70.
...or a reasonable facsimile thereof, missing a few other 2019+ engine improvements. (Oil pump, breather, etc.?)

Re: WHY TWO OR MORE URALS????

Ask Tomcatfixer on this forum for details of his Ural obsession and a count of the current herd. :>) I didn't MEAN to own three Urals; it just kinda happened. 3 Urals.jpg I was supposed to buy a BMW R1200GS Adventure , but I ( unexpectedly ) veered right and purchased the Mobile Chernobyl . :? I we...

Chad - I'm going. Maybe we can meet somewhere on I-95 and convoy down together.
Dammit, Rick, stop tempting me!

Chad that looks like a mouse was chewing on that switch, are those little teeth marks around the edges? :)
Either that, or the previous owner wore steel gloves. :D

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

I needed to order a late-model long clutch throw-out rod for my 650 Patrol , since the upgraded Harley Davidson throw-out bearing I half-ass installed failed ( my fault ) and I have since come into possession of a late-model Ural throw-out bearing ( thank you Albuquralque ), SO while I had Gene on t...

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

Oh, I see. You simply added a second rubber seat block. I mistakenly thought that you had raised the seat by placing a rubber block under the seat mounting base, like I did with the hockey pucks.

Your bike looks nice and the decal is fun. I miss color-matched shocks and wheel hubs.

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

Removed passenger tractor seat, got the rubber block amortizator out and installed that rubber block under the drivers seat like Chad did.
I would enjoy seeing an image or two of your handiwork.

Maybe something more like this, from the Macklemore 'Downtown' music video...
