Re: Raceway Ural

Yes, Raceway is fantastic to deal with. Robby is always quick to return calls, and really takes the time to help, and makes sure you get what you need.

Installed 10-liter Wavian fuel can.
That looks great! Just a quick tip. Be sure to actually fill it with gas. It doesn't help much when it is empty. Don't ask how I know.

Re: Broken Rims

I know that they are aluminum. But they look very bright. Brighter than a typical anodized surface. Most alum Ural rims that are silver, appear to be satin silver. My reason for asking was possible connection between chrome and such severe cracking. Yes, the picture makes them look like they have b...

Re: What did you do ON your Ural today?

I rode around near the house and took some pictures at the cemetery next to my neighborhood, then went home and picked up my wife to go out to eat. This was her coldest ride on any motorcycle so far, at 31F. She said the new windshield, the short one, works well to keep the wind off of her, and she ...

Glad you survived to tell the tale. They do take a bit to get used to, but man they are fun.

Re: What did you do ON your Ural today?

Today my neighbor, a new owner of a Triumph T100, messaged me to say she had to ride to get gas, and wondered if I wanted to ride. I told her I would shower and be right over. I asked which bike I should ride, the fast one, or the slow one. She didn't care. I took the Ural. I led her on a nice, 90 k...

Yeah, there is no need to remove the driveshaft to remove the rear wheel. Why make more work?
Having both 1wd, and 2wd, I think the 2wd driveshaft actually makes it easier, it holds the wrench for you.
That is true. :D

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

Why oh why did I not replace the battery while I was putting the bike back together after replacing the camshaft? Why? Just a couple days after, I realized the battery was dying. The day I was going to get the battery, it wouldn't start, so I had to take the car. Today I put the battery in. What a p...

I may getting an OD green 2021 cT with the 18" universal spare.

I had a 2012 Yamal with a spare and never had a flat. Then I had a 2015 cT without a spare and has two pusher flats.
 Yes, much like carrying an umbrella. The day you don't carry it, is the day it rains.
