Re: Sluggish starter

I replaced the starter with a new improved one. It has never started this easy.

Re: Ural Winch Project

Having the Kalaber kit and having used it several times in Florida swamp mud and sugar sand there are a couple of issues you should be aware of. The biggest is when pulling from the front mount. It may just be me but every time I get stuck there is never anything for me to anchor to directly in line...

Sluggish starter

Yep finally happened to me. The old gal won’t start. Battery is good but the starter is dragging and stops after a few cranks.
Pulled the started to clean it out and noticed slight lateral movement in the starter shaft. Is that normal on a 2014?

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

Karma can be a beyotch. I’ve been busting my brothers chops as his Harley has been down for 4 weeks. He finally Got it home on Thursday night and it ran great but started acting up again. This morning I followed him to the shop to make sure he made it there and I rode the Ural Incase he had to leave...

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

Changed the oil . Should have been an simple easy job. Especially since my brother gave me a new oil pan to capture and transport the old oil . Nice thin pan. I removed the center plug on the pan and then removed the drain plug on the Ural. All was well until a air pocket formed in the new fancy dra...

Re: Spare Tire vs Tire Sealant

I’ve had more flats then I care to think about. I bought a spare and in two years have only had one flat and it was from a very large nail. It is well worth the extra weight and cost. Everytime I’ve gotten a flat the valve stem was riped out. Green slime would have been worthless. If your not going ...

Re: Turn Signal Issue

I would just check the contacts first. The design of the bulb sockets is rather unique and tends to loose contact .

https://flic.kr/p/25EkdWE https://flic.kr/p/25EkdWE I gave my mother in laws cat a ride home from the vets once. The cat loved it ! As a matter of fact when I would stop for traffic lights she would scream but as soon as we got going again she would stop. It was a one time deal as you can see Olive...

Re: What did you do ON your Ural today?

Took the rig out for a ride to see how Sean damper was going to do. Took the pup and stopped to get gas. Got snubbed big time by a HD rider at the station. Then had to listen to an older lady talk baby talk to the Pup and me. Not sure which was worst.. LOL
The damper was great.
