So if I understand you right, I'm an a-hole.
I also go as Orange Crush Mike.
Pleased to meet you.
If you go through pushers in 1,500 miles, then yeah, you're probably an a-hole, OCM. Welcome to the club.

'Pleasure.

Re: cT K28 Tire Wear

Not sure what you can do to accelerate tire wear. Three things, right off the top of my head: 1. Excessive mass added to rig. 2. Ride like an a-hole ( aggressive accelleration [for a Ural], hard cornering, hard braking ). 3. Sidecar misalignment. The Mobile Chernobyl and I meet all three criteria. ...

FFS, put gas in it and ride it
My thoughts exactly! I don't keep track of tire wear, as I know it's not good, as I ride the ever loving pi$$ out of mine. I buy 307s in bulk and change them myself at home. For reference, I don't think I get more than 1500 miles on my pusher.

that link should take you to power arc/C5 ignitions. Power arc stopped production leaving the C5 the only option that I am aware of. I tossed all my electronic ignitions and went with trusty ole points/condenser. Best "upgrade" I've done in a while.

Re: OBDR JUNE 28 - July 1 2019

Chuck Good points. I am planning on carrying 5 extra gallons gas. I get 25mpg. Meaning about 250 miles before I'm screwed. That shouldn't be a problem. I recommend we all do the same. I believe that should cover each of us to Crescent. That said, there is a cut off back to Lapine from Wikiup. It's 1...

Re: OBDR JUNE 28 - July 1 2019

FYI I run old style points ignition. Thursday night I loaded the Ural on my camp trailer intending to meet some pals after work Friday. Noticed I had left the switch on for an hour or so. Cooked the coil. "No problem! I'll take the brand new, non ural coil, and fix it there " Friday, drove 3 hours t...

*bump* Just doing a pulse check! See?! Told ya'll I don't check this too often. Petermertos - if the weather is nice I say come out and try! :) The display would be fun and if you don't want to do the parade ... cut out before hand. That's an option, too. As of today, my kid and me are in. Planning...
