Re: Florida Purchase / Payoff / Title question

OK, I made a few calls this morning and sought "proper" advice. We can't meet at his CU, which does not have a local branch. (Branchless banks are fine until stuff like this comes along) So, my bank told me... 1) have him pay the loan down so my amount is the final pay off before I arrive. 2) meet ...

Re: FS: 2014 Gear Up, Pahrump, NV, well sorted+extras

Nope, we are very much NV residents, moved from Texas in 2015. When we moved and went to get registration and vehicle plates, the DMV said it was not necessary to convert the Texas titles on ALL our vehicles. We have NV plates and registration on 1 truck, 1 trailer and the Ural. All have Texas titl...

Re: larger hole on pusher rim

Snakebite is a common expression in the bicycle community for a pinch flat. i.e. a tube pinched between the rim and the tire bead. The resultant puncture in the tube resembles a snakebite. So by that definitition the facory would have had to have pinched the tube during installation. But by blaming...

I bought some from Advanced Auto in the past. I think they were on a rack with drain plugs.

It is a great place to live. No traffic, beautiful country. The winters are no joke, but spring, summer and fall are amazing!

Scott, that place brings back bad memories. Froze my nuts off up there looking for a wayward Captain. Think you were still around when that happened.
Bill, that is still one of my coldest memories.

Fort Drum, NY

A fellow Ural owner saw my rig parked on the airfield at Ft. Drum and stopped in to say hello, but I was out of the office at the time. Give me a shout if you are on SS! :foilhead:

Re: New Colfax Design Works Ural bags

They are called Common Sense fasteners and are readily available. I believe that they are very prevalent with boating applications. I bought some off of eBay a few years back when I made extenders for the heat shrinking tonneau cover and they fit perfectly. I’ll be in for a net if you make them to f...

Re: Tell me about your winch ..

Agree with both of the above. I bought one of the HF winches on sale a while back and the Kalaber mount hs been on the radar. Haven't gotten around to doing anything with it yet. The 'winch in a box' is a pretty cool idea and it would not be hard to do the same with a smaller unit.
