The Arctic...she's leaving me...

Yup. Selling my Arctic this weekend to a friend of mine. Sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do...and I had to prioritize my toys...and this one, believe it or not, gets used the least. So...off she goes to greener pastures. I'll still be hanging around here for awhile, and will try and get Tom to r...

Re: Attention Guests...

They should be able to search the site using the Google search, correct?

If you are unfamiliar with what that is, here's what to do. In Google searchbar, type in "site:www.sovietsteeds.com (enter search term)" and hit enter.

Re: Kick starting

Note: there are some folks who stand on the ground to start these machines. I do not advise that method and I am adamantly against it for anyone new to kick starters. If you are on the ground when the kick pedal springs back up, it can, and has, come in contact with your......body......sounds funny...

This thing is bulletproof.

Painted and mounted. Sorry, no pics. Just think "thick a$$ piece of steel" and you've got it.

Testing to continue through the summer.

Thanks, Dave!!!!!

Re: should i buy a ural with no dealer in my area?

Yes you should. When I bought mine, I lived in Juneau, Alaska. I literally had to fly 3 hours to Seattle, take a 45 minute taxi ride from airport to train station, then a 5 hour train ride to Salem, then a 5 minute car ride to my dealer (Raceway Svcs). Then I had to ride BACK to Bellingham, WA and c...

Let's just say someone's CAT's fell out or were stolen...

...how would one go about stealing them, since someone's exhaust is currently off the bike...or if they were to fall out accidentally, un-noticed, how would that happen?

Re: NOSE ART

I've done a couple of stickers on printerd paper and have cut out a clear sheet with adhesive to cover it. They have been on the bike 2yrs. thru Maine winters and still look good. Rick That's a great idea! I was just trying to figure out how the heck to protect some of the stickers I've done. Thanks!
