Re: Does anyone remember...

I cant remember the time frame but was that the group of mostly younger people riding 650 Urals and patching them up as they went? I remember this group, and another gentleman from New York who published on the ADV site using the subject line "Poor Man Uraling Across the U.S." to celebrate his 50th ...

Re: Mr. Cob & JohnBG

Well said guys. This is why, when it looks like I finally have the money to actually put the Hannigan on the 2015 Ultra, I am discussing getting a 2020 Ural from Jon at Heindl. I usually ride alone whether on a Ural or other bike but I feel a much larger sense of community here. I also have a friend...

Re: 2015 Patrol PRICE REDUCED $7500

Get an address and have a more senior member in their area meet them maybe. There are lots of members in Florida. I sold my 2016 Gear Up to a great guy that is on here. He was new to SS at the time. . I had a really good price on it and he didn't want to lose it - sight unseen. He transferred the mo...

Re: Anyone have trouble getting your title after payoff?

Family Security Credit Union in Alabama told me they only had 2 employees that process titles for the northern half of Alabama and that it would take 30 days to get the title. They were right, 3 times.

Only pain I have ever had, twice, that brought me to my knees. Damm, 6 days,....that is unbelievable but I know the relief is both immediate and real once the stone passes.

Re: 2020 Ural Update

I needed a laugh this morning. Awesome news. Never hacked the Harley and looking at the 20s. Had a passenger yesterday for the first time in 3 years on the Ultra and kept wishing I had another Ural.. great two lane backroads would have been perfect.

Re: Almost Got Hit with Girlfriend in the Sidecar

Similar situation with a kid in the sidecar, only I was in my Gear Up with bright headlight on (always), LED Auxiliary lights, and the Spot light on (always). Guy made a left turn right in front of me. It happens. Recommend if you have access to a trailer that you trailer rig to a National or State ...

Re: Progressive Insurance - Kudos

I am still with Progressive for my motorcycles and after having been with them 7 years I moved from Georgia to Alabama. Again, I am still with Progressive and have been since 2005 but their insurance policies do not cross state lines and when I moved they made me open a new policy and I lost all the...

Re: Navy Motorcycle Riding Requirements

I retired from the Army in 2005 and got a civilian job at Fort Benning, Ga. The Post Commander didn't like motorcycles and made it extremely hard for Soldiers to ride bikes in Post. To get on Post, riders had to show their MSF card, Drivers license with motorcycle endorsement, and proof of motorcycl...

Re: Tornado damage in Ohio

Thank God you guys are safe. My youngest sister is in the Beavercreek Township east of Dayton and reports pretty much the same thing. Godspeed to you and all as you literally pick up the pieces. I will be up that way Thursday in Xenia. So much destruction and the photos don't do justice to the exten...

IMO,
A spotlight as delivered with the spot lamp is fairly useless as it can't be used around other road users.....

Certainly there are better options but many of us have adjusted the spot light for road use, tightened it down, and left it on while on road without issue.
