Re: Random Sidecar Bike Shows Up at Work!

In the end a whole container load (prepaid) never arrived.I bought the last of the stock (unrestored MB650M,...

Tomcatfixer, I know the (Dreaded) Yuri in Ohio has the Early style mounts for $43.00 including shipping. Might be easily adapted to Disc. duty. I know,I know Yuris' bad rep. but I've never had a problem with my orders.GoodLuck

Re: Who installed one of those 825cc kits?

Howdy Comrades, Apologies if this post is not germane to the discussion. The only Ypan/Dnepr genius I've personally known was Greg Stewart AKA ScooterBob. You oldtimers' may remember his contributions to the Russian Iron and ADVrider forums (among others). Greg (ASE certified Engine Machinist, Great...

Re: To buy a Dnepr?

Demo18,Howdy and Welcome.I recently had a 20 minute conversation with Blake in NE,he seems like a genuinely 'nice guy'. From what I gathered his involvement with Arbelet is just storage and answering questions. He has NO financial stake in their product. They are having PROBLEMS getting ANY of their s...

Re: DNEPR and Ural interchangeabilty

Brianural,WELCOME.Quick question, will you become 'Brianiepr' when your bike arrives? :D .You will find little reason to change to Ural parts once you get going.Carburetor,Ignition system, alternator,(And yes disc brakes would be great) upgrades being the most common/necessary.Your Dnepr has what I th...

Wow what a great project!,and NO I don't see ANY problem with you mounting that on your Dnepr.I'd suggest a stronger shock and a little tub strengthening.Hats off to the Sea Cadets for donating it to you for a more mobile shore battery.Machine Guns are for sissies. Hey Lew, Yup the old fashion way works just fine.( for some reason it doesn't feel as easy as it did 20 yrs ago :) ) Lord Gobium has a Great video on the subject.
