My JD Squared Model 32 made it!!

Just got the unit delivered Friday.....built a stand for it and today did a test bend. Right now I just have a 2" die....but more are on the way. I had a stick of 2" 6061 aluminum w/ 1/8 inch wall. Takes a bit of muscle power to bend it but it did a fantastic job. Now I'm working on ideas of putting...

Adding new tool to my metal working repertoire

Just picked up a JD2 model 32 tube bender to add to all my metal working stuff. First thing will be a roll bar for the rig....from there....who knows :)

Re: What do we know about Hannigan sidecars?

Just to add another point of view. I switched from my 2014 GU to a 2002 1150 GSA and hung a Ural frame and tub on it. I get 37 to 40 mpg and it runs down the road idling at 65 mph with lots of revs to go. It doesn't know what a hill is....just twist the throttle a bit more and on you go. All it took...

another plus, K100's are popular to use as tugs.
I'd be lying if I said that hadn't crossed my mind.....I know a couple of guys with theirs set up with hacks.....they're happy as pigs in....you know what. Right now I'm enjoying blasting around with it as it is.

Re: Picked Her Up Today - 2020 GU

My first Ural ride was a little more exciting. Rode solo on the K bike to the dealer and left it there 'till I could get a ride back to fetch it, then figured the ride home on the GU would be cake. Got about 3 miles and the road crown on the country 2 lane seemed to be leaning me too much, very uns...

k100rs-800.jpg

I have a 1985 K100RS that I revived from a neglected state about 5 years ago. It's been a fun bike; today I did about 180 miles on a perfect day here in Texas Hill Country.
Nice...no such thing as a perfect day this time of year in Oregon

Flying Brick

Always thought I would never go back to two wheels.....then this thing came along. I always liked the mid 80s K bikes. The other day this one came up for sale and I just couldn't say no. A 1985 K100RT.....a measly 109,000 on the clock and documented service all it's life. Any Brick owners out there?...

Re: Want to Buy: Ural Sidecar Body INDIANA

(tangential to thread but answering question) I think - but am not 100% - that the door on the 1WD is different to accommodate the body being placed further forward on the frame. The 2WD axle comes at 90 degrees from the FD, so the sidecar wheel has to be farther back than with the 1WD. Look at pic...

Re: Anyone own a school bus?

so my question to all of you is where are you keeping your house batteries? On my Dodge bus I plan to add some frame mounted side boxes and some underbody mechanical infrastructure, including a battery compartment. It already has a rustic camper conversion and I plan to upgrade and improve as I go....
