Re: WTB 2 into 1 headers/exhaust system for late 750 carb motor

FWIW- You could buy just the front 2>1 header pipe from Raceway and then make the rest of it yourself. You have to decide which side you want the muffler to be on. ....snip..... If you have a will, there is a way somehow to get your 2>1 system. It just takes effort. YMMV Did you paint your Harley m...

Re: How many ride all year round? (Particularly in snowy climates)

I have Rocky Mountain Tusk "Hippo Hands" type handle covers . ,,,,, I only need 2wd when the snow is more than a few inches deep or when going up a steep icy hill. Practice whenever you can, maneuvers in the snow are good to know. Ditto on Hippo Hands. My driveway is 150 yards up the hill. It is ti...

Finished product. I’d say that I knocked off most of these rack ideas from Claude Stanley and DMC, so feel free to copy them.

Re: WTB 2 into 1 headers/exhaust system for late 750 carb motor

...snip.... Really I was just hoping someone would offer to sell me a set of custom headers or an already built full system because I have heard that the Raceway headers like to rust out and I really don't want to do the prep work to stop that immediately after spending $400 on them. Also, is it an...

Re: Anyone else sail?

I started with a used Hobie 16 Catamaran. Pitch-poled the thing first time out. It has a great hull design for a beach, but lousy in water. Then next boat: Prindle 18 Cat . The front part of hulls looks turned in and LARGE. Works like a champ in heavy winds, and the turned-in feature makes it Right ...

Re: How many ride all year round? (Particularly in snowy climates)

I have hills right down the driveway, up the hill, down the hill, etc. Since I live in the hills outside of town, the stock Duros suck in snow. I have gotten stuck just trying to turn around on a hill. GF was with me, embarrasing, but we both laughed anyway. I finally put on the Duro 307 Knobbies --...

FWIW- You could buy just the front 2>1 header pipe from Raceway and then make the rest of it yourself. You have to decide which side you want the muffler to be on. In some areas, Harley stores have piles of brand-new mufflers, pipes, heatshield, clamps, etc in a junk pile. In my area, they are free ...

Re: Lada Graveyard

Russian Joke: Q: What do you call a Lada at the top of a hill? A: A @3%$$ng miracle! Ok, OK. I have experience with quite a few Ladas. All of this is some Kms north of Kemerovo, in the middle of Siber. No AAA or other stuff like that around. A friend's newer Nissan (maybe 2005/6 or so) refused to st...

Re: WHat would YOU pick?

I am in the process of replacing my recently sold Ural. (yeah, I know...pretty dumb). BUT....my dealer has a new 2018 Gear up and a 2019 CT both for about the same price. Just off the cuff....what would you pick? Do you intend to ride all year long? I recall there is some serious white stuff called...

Re: Mounting Sportster Mufflers

FWIW- Any muffler bolted on a Harley can be made to bolt on something else. It's just nuts and bolts. Use your imagination, think like a machinist to make something fit where you want it to fit. Also - the HDs come with great wide stainles clamps, but the 1.5">>1.75" area needs a REAL U-Bolt Muffler...
