Re: Should I trade?
It's gorgeous. Who did the conversion for you, that guy in NJ? Other questions I think I already know the answers to: No reverse... you'll miss it. But what else can't or won't you do with your new beauty: ex. fly the chair/go off-road/etc. Bob Wark at "The Warkshop" in Marietta, Ohio did it. Nice ...

Re: Should I trade?
Well, we did it! Not quite as handy or versatile as our old '13 was, but LOTS more power, easy to run on the slab, and (should be) much lower maintenance with 10k service intervals (or 1x per year). Sure will miss all the good conversation over her on SS! I'll probably keep lurking just to see what'...

Re: broke down
OK so color me stupid but I am still trying to figure out how a bike with a broken rocker arm would run fine at idle. Valves either open and close or they don't and they need a rocker arm to make that happen. Actually, I'm guessing that the crack was there for some time. It still ran. Ran ok for 1/...

Re: broke down
Hey guys! Don't get me wrong! We LOVED our Ural, and if it weren't for certain handicaps which have arisen since we bought it, coupled with a very demanding work schedule, we'd probably have kept it. Jon and Dave up at Heindle's have been great to work with. and I would highly recommend them to anyo...

Re: broke down
OK................am I missing something here. Torque said his bike stared up fine, idled fine and motivated down the road for about 1/4 mile. If it was a broken rocker arm wouldn't that have been obvious during warm up? Jon said the break was very hard to see -- i.e. -- probably not COMPLETELY bro...

Re: broke down
Updates? It was a broken rocker arm. Sold it back to Heindl. :( Just too much work to keep running. Loved the bike. Too many issues. (2 carbs replaced, clutch arm replaced, filter screen lost in gas tank, fuel lines replaced within a year of purchase, now needing it again, continual paint issues, a...

Re: Should I trade?
Selling our Ural. Probably will go with a Bonnie for a tug. Looking at a used 2014 Bonnie, or a new Street Twin or possibly even a T120.
Thanks for all the input, guys! We've really enjoyed our Ural. Just too much maintenance for someone with my limitations.

Re: Should I trade?
The T100 pulls fine, I had the sidecar added in Ohio then rode to the Pittsburg area then home thru W Va and Va mountains. Discovered the Seneca Senic Highway! Wow!. Never lacked for power. I’m not a fast rider by choice but can easily cruise at 70 on the Hwy. I spoke with Clyde at Freedom Sidecars...

Re: Should I trade?
Did u build it yourself? I don't have the skills to do something like that. I looked up a T120 and the watsonian hacks -- it was going to come to over $20k even before I paid someone to set it up. How'd you do it for so little? I Found a 2016 T100(900 cc non-water cooled) new old stock during the s...

Re: Should I trade?
We are not here trying to get you buying ural. There are many sidecars out there! By now everyone knew what ural are about. You want an Ural becuase you want Ural! Understood -- Investigating a possible T100 w hack. Not sure if it's financially feasible. We'll see. 10k mile service intervals looks ...

Re: Should I trade?
My personal opinion - your money and your choice. Whats right for me isn't necessarily whats right for you. I sold my Ural and built a Triumph/Watsonian rig and have not regretted it. Cost me less than a new Ural even after I upgraded the suspension. Power enough to ride the highway if I choose, "h...

Re: Should I trade?
R u guys with EFI models going with the longer service intervals, or sticking with service every 2500 km?
