Re: Idea: January/February Southern Arizona Rally in Quartzsite
Sorry to say that I can't make it this year, but I believe Mr Cob is there somewhere....possibly in LaPosa South....look for a purple and white Peterbilt tractor and a large 5th wheel attached. I don't know if he brought his Ural or not...but he likely has his blue colored CanAm desert toy....

Re: diesel cab heaters
Buy extra parts or an exact duplicate unit so you will have spares. Keep an extra fuel pump and a couple of extra filters, as a bare minimum. And have a backup heat supply if venturing out in some really cold weather. This can be an idling main engine or a portable propane heater to keep you warm wh...

Re: ignition switch swap
Yeah I shot some wd-40 in there and no difference....so I will try some dry-lube....I'll have to buy it somewhere since I had none of it on hand.
I tend to think it's the actual machining is new and kinda 'sticky', and not really a lubrication issue....but I could be wrong...

Re: Starter Relays come out of their housing and try to start the bike
4, or 5 contact relay ( I don't know which you have there ) are cheap; $5-7 at Autozone, O'Reilly's, NAPA, etc. They are all 'universal' in their internals. Be sure to enquire about the price if they have to get one from the back.... I bought 2 relays at the local NAPA and they were about $25 each!...

This is what came with mine....I wrote in the color names in case the colors were too 'muted'...which they kinda are...the wire that I labl...

ignition switch swap
I had been having some intermittent electrical gremlins now and then with my 2013 Ural Solo sT...but after some time and troubleshooting efforts, not to mention installing some new stuff, I finally traced it down to the ignition switch. I ordered a new one from Heindl and it arrived in about 2 days....

Re: I need help with an electrical issue.
This was never an 'electrical issue', its pilot error.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Re: Idea: January/February Southern Arizona Rally in Quartzsite
Time to BUMP this thread! It is looking like I may be able to head on out to Quartzsite and Quartzfest this coming winter....If so, my target time frame is late January and into early February. I missed it for 2020, weird year all around, but hopefully 2021 will be a better year for ALL of us. Anyon...

Re: Hand Pain
I guess any aftermarket throttle lock will have issues for some users. But I have had the Omni-Cruise on both of my Urals and it works well for me. Again, I remove it when I'm not 'cruising' down the open road...for in-town use, I just tuck it away, out of sight.

Re: Van Got "Karen'ed"
I don't know where tx2stugis gets his news, but let me politely say it isn't from any major news source that fact-checks their stories. That seems disrespectful. But your respect is not needed or even asked for. That's a moderators job, not mine. This is exactly why politics goes south in a hurry. ...

Re: Hand Pain
Best aftermarket throttle lock I have ever used:
http://www.omni-cruise.com/
Not cheap. But they work well. Easily moved from one bike to another.
When not being used I remove it and drop it in a storage pouch on the fairing.

I agree with the above text, but the link is non-functional for me (ad blocker blocker) so I am not agreeing or disagreeing with it. But if the man in the Central Park video had been white and the woman had been an older black lady, would the media refer to her as a 'mammy'? I think not. And I'm not...

Re: Van Got "Karen'ed"
Perhaps the most reported one was "Central Park Karen" in NYC She was walking her dog in Central Park with the dog off its leash. A black man who was watching birds very politely asked her to please put her dog on a leash. She freaked out, called the police, said a black man was threatening her lif...
