Sold: Spin-on Oil filter Conversion Kit

New, un-used spin-on oil filter kit for the pre-2014 models. I purchased this off another user last year: http://www.sovietsteeds.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=38367&p=476891#p476891 However, I never got around to installing in. Now I'm selling it because I just don't really care to have the spin-o...

Re: Running Lights Blowing a Fuse

FOR FUTURE REFERENCE: The light fixtures in your sidecar marker, and taillight don't have a push & snap connector. Each individual wire is a push through, secured by a screw. Sometimes, the screws loosen up, and the hot wire gets loose. Sometimes, the same thing happens with the tiny screws at the ...

Re: Running Lights Blowing a Fuse

Well, I took the headlight off and poked around at the wires pretending I knew what I was doing. Then I removed the seat and battery cover and pushed a few more wires around. And finally messed around in the brake light area. Somehow, everything is working again. Until the next big rainfall, I suppo...

Re: Running Lights Blowing a Fuse

Are you able to disconnect the hazard switch just to be certain it's actually something on the bike or not. Something changed when you did the install. The rain may have just added to it. At least taking that out of the equation should help in your dilemma. The bike has done this in the past, so I'...

Running Lights Blowing a Fuse

Hello, I have a 2013 Patrol, and my daytime running lights (white marker light and two rear brake lights) keep blowing their fuse. I installed my own hazard switch (that basically just crosses the front signal wires when switched), however I checked everything after the install and all the lights we...

Re: 0-60 and Top Speed

I noticed you had some sort of tag on you key ring and maybe other keys. As a PSA the Ural ignition switch has been know to be on the weak side. It is best if you only use the Ural key alone. You're about two years too late. The oem ignition failed long ago for exactly that reason. I had to hotwire...

Re: What would you like to see new/different here at Soviet Steeds?

I used to view the site on my phone on Tapatalk, but then it stopped working. Any chance of getting that going again? If I'm the only one, no worries, don't bother. Agreed. I rarely view the forum these days. It used to be a lot easier to quickly pull it up on my cell phone with Tapatalk and check ...

0-60 and Top Speed

I thought I would see just how fast my 2013 Patrol would go. I used my cell phone to track 0-60 time the top speed. We're not breaking any records here, but I ended up doing 0-60 in 25 seconds , and I got a top speed of 74.3 mph at WOT . I haven't done any mods for performance, so it's a good baseli...

Re: 2016 VIGiL (Vancouver Island Grand Loop) - August 20-27

MrPark, I know how you feel about solo trips. Alone there's a lot more freedom to do what you want, stop where and when you want, and take as much time as you want. With a group, things get complicated and sometimes it's just go, go, go. I'm planning on documenting the trip (http://www.vancouverisla...
