I recommend switching to a banjo bolt type of switch. They fit on the rear master - yeah - you'll have to bleed the rear brake. Far superior to the old springy thing.

Can you straighten them? I've bent a couple of Ural bars with wood blocks for padding, a sturdy vise, and an overpipe. The bends I made were to turn the handlebars inward a bit closer towards the seat. It takes a bit of work and care to keep the bends aligned but it can be done.
