Re: 2006 Patrol

Even in the Taj Mahal of the United States (New Jersey) it's a bit high. But it's being advertised by an on-line dealer. It you could actually go see it and all was well/great/good with it take $1000.00++ off that asking price. If you are not in the tri-state area and are thinking about buying witho...

Sorry, Pilot! ;)
BTW, the fellow you are buying from didn't own it very long but while he did... some really nice mods, first rate.
A really beautiful rig that should give you many years of enjoyment. Congrats in advance.

Re: Remember when.......

The 2019 and early 2020 needed a wire rerouted on the fuse block, and a few speedos go TU, and sometimes oil venting from the FD but that was fixed on the 2021 with a easy inexpensive retrofit for older bikes. So you´re saying Ural is like a real motorcycle meanwhile? HaHa. Good One. I be...

Re: Daily commuter in the dirt and on a budget

There have been a number of good used deals here over the last few months. Be patient and read all the wonderful and ridiculous reviews and problems (most simple) of all years and models. With a budget of 5 to 10K you should be able to get a pretty decent rig. If you have not had first-hand experien...

Opened up box with newly refreshed and re-jetted carbs and manual petcock from Terry Crawford.

Let the installation and tuning commence!

Nice. Are those from your rig Mike or you bought a new pair?

Re: Smartphone handlebar mount

I use the u-bolt that comes with the X-Grip standard. There is also another that can attach to you brake rez perch or clutch perch. I have several versions over the years on many bikes. I don't like messing with the bar clamp bolts just for an accessory. Plus you'll be locked in that exact spot. A l...

Welcome to you from NY.

About to be a Ural "Pilot". Can't ride a Ural though I suppose your monkey/passenger can.

Re: Deep Sump Question

I've used Blackstone Labs for oil analysis for a few years now. Based in Indiana. Originally for Marine engines but have been also tracking my 2019 Honda CRF450L as well since new. Some reports of excessive fuel in the oil after owners modded to a race-ready ECU from the stock ECU which is a very po...

Git yourself a Ural Mobile Phone. Only one on the market that still uses tiny vacuum tubes.

I remember all your stories and pictures of Murph. So, so sorry to hear of your loss of Dusty. Similar situation and feelings when we had to put Peppermint down as-in "did I do the right thing and what could I have done more". There is a breed one click more than any other and it's called a "rescue"...

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

Over Easter weekend I started fluid changes but somewhere along the way found a bad u-joint in the drive-line that needed immediate repair & replace. So skipped or forgot about the Final Drive change until today. Took a nice long local ride to warm and churn things up. Summer evening type weather to...
