Re: I’ve had it with this forum.

I'm still amazed this whole thing works at all. Remember the 70's & 80's posting by mail to enthusiast's magazines hoping to get published in a month or two. Here we are with near instantaneous dialogue and full color photos, albeit with some quirks.

Re: odd video shows 2019 Ural, WRONG!

Odd, looks like they just panned sales brochures for various 2018 models. Most of the comments looked to be in Russian. Quite a few views, I wonder if that was the point of the whole thing.

Re: What did you do ON your Ural today?

15F for this morning's ride, amazing how comfy that can be with the right gear (and none of that wired stuff!) Yesterday we had 3" of rain,if only that could have been snow! Did not see any other bikes out but saw a pretty lady in a Saab convertible with the top down, she had a bunch of 2x6x8's in t...

Re: Twin discs up front?

twin discs might be less prone to fade from overheating on long downhill stretches, but I'd try just keeping the stock brakes in top condition first.

Nose bearing at about 35,000km. Ring and pinion were fine and still good 20,000km later. I'd consider myself a moderate rider.

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

No brake lite with the pedal, I was ready to replace the switch with my spare but it turns out the adjustment nut had vibrated off the switch, giving it enough slop so it wouldn't work. Screwed it back on and eureka! it worked perfectly. Proves the theory that if you have a spare, that part will nev...

Re: Jets jets jets

this is the port you need to use. If you still have a vacuum petcock take it's hose off the port and turn the petcock to "prime" so the engine does not run out of gas.
