Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

I have the Heindl bumper too, happy with the way it looks and used it for towing soap box derby racers up the hill. But really don't expect much other than very low speed bump protection from it.

Are the prices out? Just curious if you’ll be able to pick up a brand new Gear Up for $16k. Somehow I’m doubting that, but who knows?
$16,999 from their website

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

Putting style ahead of function IMHO, nighttime viewing looks a little confusing. I like the logo, though

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

The amber, which I did not swap out worked fine No help here, but the amber was the only one I replaced with an LED, hard to see in the sun ...

take the old unit apart first and make your mistakes on that. You might even figure out how to fix whatever broke on it.

Has anyone explored removing the speedo face and replacing it with a custom one?
If you want an extra speedo face to play with I can give you one....

Re: WTB Used Speedometer Fits 2012

New units are not that expensive, not too hard to take apart and reset the kilometerage. I've done it a couple of times now. With mine it was the speedometer that went bonkers.

Re: Bought an E-Bike

Well, I broke down and bought one of these for the wife for xmas. The local dealer let us test ride one, she's excited about it. I've been doing 50-100 miles/week on my gravel bike to live a little longer and with the Trek she should be able to keep me company. And from what I've read the health ben...

Re: Modified exhaust on 2012 Gear Up

Whenever changing exhaust or intake you're probably going to want to rejet the carbs due to airflow differences. Not sure if the later fuel injected models compensate for that but the older carb models sure don't.

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

Rode out to see some friends, bike sat out for an hour or so, 25F. It was in that never-never land of choke, no choke, choke one carb, whatever the magic formula was I blew it and had to kick the damn thing till my leg was ready to fall off before it finally fired. Naturally, it only does that when ...
