Re: BMW R9T with Ural Tub

I would like to know who the professional installed is. Like the dealer you buy a Ural from, makes all the difference in the world. And, come to think of it, I acquired a new Gear Up in May, the MSRP was not that much and I didn't pay MSRP...one wheel drive a lot less... Someone is blowing smoke met...

2019 HUG Rally - Dec 7th 2019 - Holopaw Florida

That was fun. Rode the '19 Gear Up down and yes, got rained on in Georgia on the way home. 401 miles - 7 hours (repeated both ways) on a Ural, but i digress. We had fun, lots of Urals, kids and dogs. Plenty of food, all that was missing was some of the regulars and a few folks who said they were com...

Re: 2019 Fuel Injection Hiccups Cold

In a way good to know. I assume fairly warm temps (50+) in that area? (just looked, 69, yee hah) Pretty much my experience in warmer temps (by our standards pretty hot) then as well. Winter trips except the once where it had been started and warmed up (a number of hours latter when I left) so warmu...

Re: Any Chang-Jiang lovers?

me thinks "Automobile paperwork can be provided." means if you are in my state (or one like New Hampshire for instance) where it is too old to even get a title, no problem, in California or some other title loving from the days of the Selden patent state, probably not so much...

Re: Sign that Urals are getting better

Give me time, it will break/I will break it. Have 3 year warranty, so will probably be in about 2.5 years, right after the warranty runs out. The service interval is driving me nuts. Half way through and I KNOW it is time to do something to it...so I check the air in the tires and all 3 dip sticks.....

Re: Sign that Urals are getting better

5600 miles on my 19 and I am simply amazed. Will have 6200 miles when we get back from Gene's. Most of my mileage is highway, as it always has been. Both my wonderful 2010 Retro and the evil a$$ 2015 M70 had 2, yes 2 engine rebuild/replacements each by this mileage. So from my point of view, oh hell...

Re: 2019 HUG Rally - Dec 7th 2019 - Holopaw Florida

Updates? Changes? Probably, come on down... Cafe still closed, but come on, she's been saying it would be for several years... Riding the GearUp (I think) down from Macon Thursday, hoteling Thursday and Friday night. Will be there for set up Friday AM. All help appreciated... Camping Saturday night ...

Re: ISO: GoPro mount for Fender Rack

Late to the party, but for the last 9 years have been using mount using the sticky tape on the back of my Retro and on my helmet since new (4 years, gets replaced soon). Nope, haven't had to replace tape/stuck on mount yet...Clamp on mounts have lost me 2 cameras though, just saying.

Re: 2019 Fuel Injection Hiccups Cold

My 2019 GearUp is a bit cold blooded too! Starts fine, regardless, but not happy until she idles a bit. Just a minute or two, then fine. I too am inclined to not worry about it. Little worried about lack of problems to tell you the truth.

Re: 2019 HUG Rally - Dec 7th 2019 - Holopaw Florida

Do have some somewhat bad news. The little cafe on the corner is closed. That sucks beyond words, IMHO. Lakeside Inn also has closed their restaurant except for continental breakfast for folks staying there. Not too sure what is in the Harmony Community. Other food options 20 to 30 minutes away. Pla...

Re: 2019 HUG Rally - Dec 7th 2019 - Holopaw Florida

Planning to attend. Just trying to decide the best way to do it. Probably get up early Saturday and make the 3 hour trek down with toothless on the trailer. Not sure if I’ll head back from there that night or find a hotel (leaning towards driving back). Don’t want to subject you guys to my sleep wa...
