Re: Happy Thanksgiving All

After two years we moved back into the house one of our Foster boys burned us out of, pretty much everything is new and SWMBO is over the moon with it so we were very thankful .

Is the surface of that pan worn from it's initial use or from strumming ? .

Kids

Our Foster boys never cease to amaze me with the cultural things they know, mostly musical in nature but also literature here and there . You'd never guess it by the way they remain glued to the T.V. watching to - day's inane you tube videos but like most children, they tend to soak up more than us ...

One of my pups once ate a 16Oz can of Lithium based white grease ~ I'd been told it's highly poisonous but he seemed to take it in stride .

Are We / You Old ?

Maybe yes but so what ? . Every day above ground is one more precious gift not to be wasted ~ that's why it's called the 'present' =8-) . I remember The Lone Ranger and his faithful side kick Tonto , not P.C. but I remember some good life lessons about friend ship, charity, self respect and so on th...

Re: Time Goes On

Again, thank you all ! . At times I get the blues badly . I've always been very active so this is difficult to deal with . My current plan is to let The Bike Pimp (an old friend) come and empty out my house of pretty much everything, I have thousands of technical books, tools, parts and crap I accum...

Still 'On The Fence'

Sagerat, I hope that 'Moxie" still means good, it did when I were a lad.... BTW : they still bottle Moxie, two places on the West Coast bottle it, one tastes better than the other . sKiZo ; I hope to be able to still ride Tiddlers for a long time yet ~ one fellow in my vintage Japanese Moto Club rod...

Thread Repair

Heli-Coils are a spiral that depends on the damaged hole to be straight and even . Time-Serts are solid inserts and so will better hold in high stress situations . I've seen many Heli-Coils blow out of alloy cylinder heads . You have to do or work with, a lot of them to understand . Heli-Cpils are g...

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

Remember : the only 'stupid' question is the one you feared asking.....

The collective brain trust and experience here is huge, don't be shy about asking anything .

Thread Repair

As an air cooled Mechanic I've repaired more stripped threads than I can count and this Time-Sert product is head and shoulders above Heli-Coil and others by a wide margin .

I'm -BUSY- !

I neglected to mention that after 22 months of PIA reconstruction we're finally moving back into SWMBO's house, one of our Foster boys burned us out almost two years ago . It's nice but still not done, we can't afford to mortgage and rental both so back we go and will finish it up bit by bit . I wis...
