Re: Joining the Family!

I was the first owner of "Olga" and now I'm happy that my 2011 rig has as its 3rd owner an amazing and adventurous woman (and very pretty, too). She is an incredible photographer. If she hasn't already posted some pics of "Olga" as yet then I'm sure she will soon. My wife just bought a Can-Am Spyder...

See ya later

I just sold my 2011 Patrol. I'm retired and I just need to thin the herd. I've owned Olga since new for 4.5 years and my trip to AK in the RR section of this forum was one of the highlights of my motorized life. Olga had 22,000 km on it when I sold it a few days ago and it's been super reliable and ...

Re: Cancer Update - GONE!!!

Great news!

IF it does decide to reappear, those 6 month follow-up CTs will get it when it's small and treatable.

I wonder how many commercials this makes for Ural. It's gotta be a lot.

Re: How Safe?

I just returned from a X-country trip in a cage ... Spokane, WA, to Savannah, GA, and return. To my surprise there are now large sections of interstate in Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, South Dakota, and I believe Nebraska where the limits are now 80 mph. Some of those states allow truckers to also go 80 mph...

Re: Cancer Update...

Wow, you spent all day getting chemo and anti naseau meds ... I'm only familiar with what I had which took only 4.5 hours total each visit. I often think that if it weren't for modern medicine probably most of us would be pushing up daisies long ago.

Hang in there!

Re: Cancer Update...

Really good news to hear that this type of Ca and chemo has such a high success rate! Looks like we're going to have to put up with you for a good long time into the future. :D Every chemo cocktail is different but 6x of 'em shouldn't be too bad. Yes, those anti-throw-up-you-innards meds are very ef...

Re: RPM in third gear at steady 50mph

I often shift into 4th in the low 30s on flat ground at light weight and when I'm not in a hurry. Thirty mph in 4th is about 2100 rom. Olga has 23,000 km and is running strong. I can't remember if I've ever had Olga to 50 mph in 3rd. Maybe once, not sure. :?: These engines idle at, let's say, 1000 r...
