Re: Anyone Daily/Rain Ride?

You might want to look into Aerostich, excellent but expensive, like Klim, which is also excellent. If the cost of this stuff scares you, try Frogg Toggs. I've ridden through some real downpours in them and stayed dry. They don't look as good as Aerostich, and offer no protection, but they will not ...

Ride in Florida's Pasco/Hernando Alps

Ltrpsin, TerryG and I had a great ride today though the slightly rolling hills (bumps) near St. Leo and Dade City, Florida. Terry, being used to the real mountains and roads of West Virginia was not overly impressed with flat, straight roads of Florida, but we enjoyed ourselves and made the best of ...

Re: New HD seat

I have an Alaska Leathers sheepskin I bought years ago for an Ultra Classic, but have used it on several other bikes as well. They are great.

New HD seat

Had Gene modify the mounting bracket on an HD Road King solo seat I bought on ebay, and put it on the bike today. What a great improvement. Sitting 2" higher will take a little getting used to, but my butt is so much happier.

Wiring a GPS and heated gear

I have mounted a Zumo on my 2016 Retro and wired it directly to the battery. I would also like to hook up my Widder electric vest/gloves. Is going directly to the battery the best/only way to do this, or should I be wiring these a different way?

Thanks

Re: Florida Ural sighting!

Sorry, but I'm busy for the next couple of days. I live in Lutz, near Van Dyke and Dale Mabry, and would love to get together for a ride.

Re: Florida Ural sighting!

Yes it is someone from here! I rode to an annual "Last Ride of the Year" meet at Coney Island, hosted by the Long Riders from Delphi Forums.

Hit my 1000 km mark on this ride, and it sure is nice not having to hold my speed to 45.

Re: Lost bolt, need size

I thought about that Jaybird, but I really haven't missed reverse enough to bother with it. I'll see how long the bolt takes to get here.

Re: Lost bolt, need size, UPDATE

I've been working with Terry Crawford to get this fixed, and Terry has been great. He shipped the missing bolt, washers and spacer. However, the bolt had the wrong threading. Terry called IMZ and told them the standard bolt no longer fit. They said the part number was still the same, but they went d...

Lost bolt, need size

I lost the bolt holding the reverse lever to the tank on my 2016 Retro. I have the spacer, but can't find the bolt. Called Gene, but he didn't know the bolt size, nor did he have any idea how to find out. Tomorrow I thought I would go to Ace Hardware and simply keep trying different metric bolts to ...
