A few months back I opened FB local buy and sell and this vise was "free". The ad had been in 15 minutes and I picked it up within the hour.

Nice score, what do you plan to mount it on?

Re: ethanol question

I find it helpful to drain the carburetor bowls on a regular basis, or at any sign of poor or irregular running.

Re: Not Enough or Too Much Clearance.

People sometimes misunderstand what is going on when a valve is too loose or too tight. The bigger the measured gap, meaning the looser the valve adjustment, the less distance and duration the valve will open inside the combustion chamber. When the loosness gets to the extreme the valve opening bec...

Re: Oil pan heater

So - I have a similar question, and was wondering if anybody has some practical guidance on how to approach fitting an Oil Pan Heater... As many of you may know, the Oil Pan/Sump on the Ural is not flat. It has ridges that might be for cooling or to reinforce the Oil Pan itself - about 1/2 an inch ...

Looking at the location of the craigslist listing, it seems likely to be a flood damaged vehicle?
And a lot of wording that would lead me to believe probably no title.
Looks like a good parts machine at the least.

Re: 1967 K750 Engine Work

I would hit the cylinders with a rigid or three stone hone, not a dingleberry hone, to do the final fit, that’s probably what the machine shop expected you to do.

Re: Did kickstart lever change for 2018 on Retro/ M70?

I bent the kick lever on my 2013 Retro to more closely resemble the one on the left. I bent it on the motorcycle using a large box end wrench. It doesn’t seem to have much more throw but it doesn’t stick out and look ugly anymore. The metal is rather soft so it bends easy and didn’t require any heat...

Re: What did you do ON your Ural today?

I did manage to drop my trunk key in the parking lot of the grocery store. Didn't realize it until I got to the pet store. Went back to the grocery store and thankfully found the key. It had been run over and the black plastic part was broken off but it still worked. Need to get a few spare keys ma...

I agree with checking the donut, but I would also take a good look at the swing arm bushings/bearings.

The Farm address is 1519 West Bay Ave. Barnegat NJ 08005, not 1550 as stated in the first post.
I’m looking forward seeing you guys and doing some riding tomorrow 😁😁😁

Re: Turkey Leftovers Ride aka Black Saturday NJ Pines

So, I should be seeing you guys at some point on Saturday. Either at Jay's Farm early or somewhere on the trails/roads. Looks like me and probably 2 other riders (Chris & Scotty) that y'all have met before. Scotty just did 127 miles in the woods yesterday during that 62 degree weather. Said the woo...
