Re: Gearbox main shaft price

I am trying to find a price on the gear box main shaft part # imz-8.128-04201-10. Some wear on mine not sure if we can afford to replace it. In Costa Rica and it may make sense to change it now. Here for at least 4 more weeks so have time to spare to do replacement. Not sure if it's in the budget. ...

Re: 2014 advice needed. Patrol

I own one of the first 2014s...yep, there was a steep learning curve but IMWA was pretty good about reacting to found issues and fixing them under warranty. Note: gotta love the extended warranty. 1. EFI: Initial throttle body butterfly plates were prone to bending and thereby not sealing well when ...

Re: Two Urals, One Trailer

Thanks for the pics, now I now the 12" version of an Aluma trailer would fit one of my rigs and the Yamaha TW200. :)

Of course, I've already got a Aluma 638 which is just enough for one rig....decisions, decisions....

Dom, you are like the master Ural salesman. Anyone who sees your photos will want a Ural. Your effort is so telling.
Salesman eh? They’re very photogenic rigs for sure, thanks for your kind words as well.

Beautiful photos. I have been a semi-professional photographer for 60+ years. You are an inspiration to me to take better pictures! Thanks for the posts.
Thanks for the kind words

Re: Today's Uraling, along with some recent rides...

"I'm not dead yet!" says Scarlett, my 2014 Patrol....as she takes to the road once more after having her clutch and gearbox input shaft replaced. Amazingly, especially since I did the wrenching, it all seems to work. https://redlegsrides.blogspot.com/2019/02/scarlett-has-been-repaired.html https://2...

Re: For Sale: 2014 Patrol - withdrawn

And she's fixed! A quick test ride yesterday showed all gears working fine, and of course, no more horrible screeching noise coming from the clutch pack.... Turned out to be, for my limited wrenching abilities, quite a doable set of jobs. details here: https://redlegsrides.blogspot.com/2019/02/new-c...

Re: For Sale: 2014 Patrol - withdrawn

Thanks for the TW comments and all. Not sure I'm keeping the 2014 for now.....debating. Re why the input splines got so damaged, no idea. You'd think the splines would be made harder than the splines on the clutch plates themselves. One thing for sure, the days of Moab trail riding and rough terrai...

Re: For Sale: 2014 Patrol - withdrawn

Just to close out this thread: Took the gearbox off the rig, found the Driven Clutch Plate splines worn off, both of them. Input shaft splines severely damaged.
