Re: Holopaw Ural
Central FL isn't that salty. Its at the coasts that its a real issue. Just like I am 25 miles inland from the ocean. No salt air to worry about there.

Re: Getting a new bike
Got out again for an hour today. Racked up another 40 miles in the countryside. Rode out to the old diner where we held our bike breakfasts for about 20 years! They closed up over two years back just before covid became a thing. I miss meeting my friends there. It was always a pretty ride out that w...

Re: Any FART rally for 2021?
They still have the Moto Guzzi rally scheduled for Willville for June. Wondering if I'll be walking well enough on my new knee to ride out there on my new RE!

Re: Retirement
Congrats! I was forced to retire due to disability and closed my shop at the end of 19. Few months before covid started up bad. Most days I see it as a blessing. Many happy days to you!

Re: Getting a new bike
I did get gas for it. 53.8 mpg in city driving! And I am basically using half throttle and running it up and down thru t he gears for break in. Can't wait to see what it gets on a steady 55 mph back road! Took another spin to go the PO today. Made a 20 mile loop to do the errand. Bike runs like a dr...

Re: Getting a new bike
Bad knee was doing ok today. Went for a little 32 miles run around the area concentrating on running it up and down thru the gears. Took another notch off the gas gauge bar graph. Heck, I'll have to put gas in it tomorrow if I can get another ride in. Hope y'all had good weather too!

Re: Getting a new bike
Completed the side bag installation and took a short ride this afternoon. Knee was hurting too bad to take a longer ride. If only that bad leg ran as well as this bike. LOL

Re: Royal Enfield EFI to carburetor conversion
Thanks! Got some heavy leather side bags with steel support racks from India in yesterday. Installing those today and then maybe a short ride.

Re: Getting a new bike
I've got the Int foot peg kit on the bike now and like it. Moved my feet about 5" forwards. Nice thing is when I stand on the bike my shins are now behind the pegs vice forwards. make it easier to ride off and then raise my feet onto the pegs. Did a little adjustment to the shifter and rear brake co...

Re: Getting a new bike
The bone spur in my right knee hasn't been too happy with the rearset pegs on the bike. It has t he same frame as the more upright Interceptor 650, so I ordered a complete foot control kit for a Int 650 and in three days it was here all the way from India! Yesterday I swapped in the Int foot pegs an...
