Re: WHat would YOU pick?

You live in Green Bay which means you are close to the Nicolet National Forest which is an out standing place to ride a GearUp. We try to get there at least one a year as a small group to ride. You will need 2wd in many places and that's were the fun is. Plus the resale being where you live will be ...

Re: Idle

More importantly, when are you coming out this way again. You can't keeping using Wayne as an excuse. The current plan is to trailer the two Urals to where Wayne broke down in Utah and continue or ride from there. This time the two women are coming. We will drop one vehicle and the other tra...

Re: Push Rod Failure

I wonder if someone just sez that Ural said that. Seeing they endorse highway speeds it does not sound like the factory. That said, mine rarely goes north of 55mph. Still have the original push rods at almost 150,000kms, but don't push it over 50mph (motor doesn't like it). John I'm with you on spe...

Re: Idle

Heading to Randy’s Cycle in Marengo Illinois to have the idle set to 1050 rpm. Talked with Randy the owner yesterday and he confirmed that is correct idle.
Why the manual and frame sticker indicate 800 is beyond me.

Thanks to all for your input. Even you Lee Pape😁

I've just don't remember any cycle having an idle rpm at 800. Am I missing something here?
I bet you had some of your H-D's idling that slow. We know you like that potato-potato.
Not that low.
Hey, when you going to ride with us again?

Re: Idle

Sticker on the frame says 800. Where did you get 1050? Idle for ElectroJet EFI Urals is 1050rpm Ural Australia confirmed 1050 for EFI models 14-18 when I asked - guess that like rims, they haven't run out of stickers yet. Thanks! Well I finally got off my lazy azz and checked the manual against the...

Re: Idle

Don't adjust the idle unless you have a way to verify TB sync. I use the setup in" https://www.sovietsteeds.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=47343".Logically, it would make sense that if you adjust the left TB idle a quarter turn C/W and the right TB idle a quarter turn C/W it would remain in sync; ...

Idle

Ural states a warm engine should idle at 800 rpm's. Mine is below that and I need to know how can I adjust the idle without balancing the throttle bodies or is this a dealer only job with the TB' s need rebalancing?
