Re: What did you do ON your Ural today?

Were you able to keep up on your Ural ok?? I'd love to take the Ural on rides with the group I ride with so the wife could go also, but I know I wouldn't be able to keep up. Unless they took some smaller slower back roads...I guess that's a draw back. The bike does good at 60-65, but it takes a bit...

Re: Sumthin' I've been noticin' lately

Vvvvrroooomm...there's my drive by.... But seriously, I found out about this doing a search, and the=is site has been very helpful in offering advice and information on "how to". I first visited in May of this yr, and I have since fixed the issues with my Ural (I hope I didn't just jinx myself). Thi...

Re: Speedometer Failure, 2020 GU?

Spousal Unit's speedo failed on her 2019 GU at around 1000 miles. Dealer sent a new one to me and I installed it. Plug and play. Ah. This is what bothers me. Not the failure. What irritates me is that the dealer is saying that they have to install the speedometer rather than sending it to me. If I ...

Re: Winter Is Coming

Although my current abode near Knoxville, I'm sure, will be less brutal and snowy than my domicile near Denver the last couple years, I am looking forward to some/many cold winter rides. I bought my 2017 GU from a guy in Clinton TN. I'm looking forward to some snowy parking lots to have fun in here...

Well, this is the official “first” for lookIng to increase power on the 2019-2020 models. Always good to see if 42hp can be increased.
Well, they say more is better..without twisting cranks, or cracking crankcases, or breaking gears, or, or, or..... :D

Re: Squeak a bit more power

I know the Urals are tried and true tanks. I was just wondering if there was an "easy button"...seems not..I could lose some weight I guess.... I have a Harley for that almost twist grip speed lol, having said that, that new Harley M8 engine is a lot better than previous ones I've owned, it pulls li...

Re: Rear brake light switch 2017

I had to replace mine on a 2017 GU. What a PIA leaning over the seat to screw out and screw in the new brake light switch. To top it all off, I wish they had a disconnect for the wire, it's hardwired right into the switch, so as you're turning the switch to screw it in the brake cylinder, the wire i...

I dislike the word Phasing. It makes it sound something exotic when all it means is the U Joints are in the same relationship to each other.
ok, ok, how about "mutually aligned"???
